There is a chance of a mix of light snow, drizzle, and light freezing drizzle Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

Rain changing over to snow will begin to accumulate. Accumulations
\nwill range from a dusting up to an inch or two.<\/p>\n

While precipitation amounts will be light, a light glaze of ice will be possible, creating the potential for hazardous travel conditions.<\/p>\n

Wednesday….<\/p>\n

Bismarck\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Wednesday afternoon, have issued a Travel Alert <\/strong>for north central North Dakota due to slushy, snow and ice covered roads with reduced visibility creating rapidly changing driving conditions. Cities in the Travel Alert <\/strong>include<\/strong> Devils Lake, Carrington, Langdon, Rolla, and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

A Travel Alert <\/strong>means conditions are such that motorists can still travel <\/strong>in these areas, but should be advised of rapidly changing conditions. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to the conditions.<\/p>\n

Please be advised that road condition information on 511 and the travel map is updated daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. CDT. The road report is based upon the information available to the NDDOT at the time of preparation and is provided solely as a public service. Conditions may vary from those reported.<\/p>\n

…ACCUMULATING SNOW ONGOING…<\/p>\n

Moderate snowfall Wednesday will continue across portions of central North<\/p>\n

Dakota over the next several hours. Snow accumulations of two to<\/p>\n

four inches have been reported so far. If traveling, be prepared<\/p>\n

for snow covered roads along with reduced visibility. The heaviest<\/p>\n

snow is expected to move east of the area by the late afternoon hours.<\/p>\n

Locations along and north of Highway 2 could receive 2 to 6 inches of snow\u00a0 through Wednesday afternoon. Farther south, across southwest and south central North Dakota, a mix of snow and light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will be the main threats through Wednesday night. Light ice accumulations are possible.<\/p>\n

Travelers across North Dakota through Wednesday night should monitor the latest weather conditions and updated forecasts.<\/p>\n

OMAHA, Neb. \u2013The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is incrementally increasing releases from Jamestown and Pipestem Dams for the next several days as the cities of Jamestown and LaMoure, North Dakota, prepare for higher flows.\u00a0 Combined releases will reach 2,200 cubic feet per second by Friday, Nov. 22.<\/p>\n

Higher releases will allow the dams to evacuate as much flood storage as possible before ice formation and prior to spring runoff.\u00a0 Combined releases are currently planned to be reduced back to 1,400 cfs by Sunday, Dec. 1, but could be held if weather allows.\u00a0 The tables below detail the release schedule with the current plan for operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

To mitigate the risk of freeze-up ice jams or other ice-related flooding, releases from the dams will be reduced to winter releases before ice sets in, which are not expected to exceed 700 cfs.\u00a0 The Corps of Engineers will operate to minimize the risk of ice-related flooding, and adjustments to the releases will be made as needed.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday Jamestown Dam was at a pool elevation of 1442.0 ft, 31% into the flood pool, and is steady.\u00a0 The pool elevation peaked on November 12 and has been holding steady since then.\u00a0 Inflows are near 675 cfs, and releases are 900 cfs.<\/p>\n

Pipestem Dam was at a pool elevation of 1467.6 ft, 29% into the flood pool, and dropping.\u00a0 The pool elevation peaked on October 29 at 1475.0 ft, which was 43% into the flood pool.\u00a0 Inflows are near 350 cfs, and releases are 900 cfs.<\/p>\n

The Corps of Engineers is coordinating with relevant agencies in North and South Dakota.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown Police is warning the public regarding a new convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

Anthony Gallegos resides at 403 1st<\/sup> Avenue North, Apt 11, Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n

He presently has no vehicle.<\/p>\n

Gallegos is a 52 year old white male five feet five inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes, and black hair.<\/p>\n

He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee of the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Offense:\u00a0 Gross Sexual Imposition involving an eight year old girl.<\/p>\n

Conviction Date: December, 2010 in Richland County, ND Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition:\u00a0 10 years, 503 days credit, concurrent.<\/p>\n

Offense:\u00a0 Gross Sexual Imposition involving an eight year old girl and a six year old boy on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n

Conviction Date: Dec 2010, in Richland County, ND Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition:\u00a0 30 years, 15 years suspended, 503 days credit.\u00a0 10 years supervised probation, concurrent.<\/p>\n

Gallegos is currently on GPS Monitoring.<\/p>\n

He is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n

He is currently on probation with ND Parole and Probation.<\/p>\n

This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n

Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, St. John\u2019s Academy Vice Principal and Technology Director, Marlys Fix brought with her two students, Kid\u2019s Kingdom student, Fritz Braun, and sixth grade student, and Student Council President, Luke LeFevre.<\/p>\n

Fritz said \u201cSoup Turkey,\u201d has two parts.\u00a0 It first serves as a shelf-sitting decoration and then can be later enjoyed as a warm meal.\u00a0 The Kid\u2019s Kingdom students delivered those to residents of the James House in Jamestown, on Wednesday, and while there they will sing songs and chat as a group, in the public gathering space.<\/p>\n
