(VCSU) The bracket for the 75th annual Barnes County Girls Basketball Tournament has been set. Eight teams will converge on Valley City State University for the annual tournament in December.<\/p>\n

The quarterfinals of the\u00a0<\/span>tournament\u00a0<\/span>will be played on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The semifinals are on Thursday, Dec. 12, and the\u00a0<\/span>tournament\u00a0<\/span>concludes with the championship and placing games on Saturday, Dec. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All 12 games will be played at Valley City State University\u2019s W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse.Tournament\u00a0<\/span>history, records and past results can be found at www.vcsuvikings.com\/bct<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Defending champion LaMoure\/Litchville-Marion has been named the top seed for this year\u2019s tournament\u00a0<\/span>and will open with the 3 p.m. game against Griggs\u00a0<\/span>County\u00a0<\/span>Central on Dec. 10. Sargent Central is the No. 4 seed and plays No. 5\u00a0<\/span>Finley-Sharon\/Hope-Page at 4:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Enderlin is the No. 2 seed and takes on No. 7 Barnes County North at 6 p.m. in the first round. No. 3 seed Milnor\/North Sargent will play No. 6 seed Maple Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Games on Dec. 12 begin at 3 p.m., and Saturday\u2019s games will start at noon.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

LaMoure\/Litchville-Marion has earned the Barnes County Tournament Championship title in the last four consecutive years.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Major\u00a0<\/span>tournament\u00a0<\/span>sponsors include the Valley City Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Valley City Chamber of Commerce, Valley City State University and VCSU Athletics.<\/span><\/p>\n
