Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News May 13, 2013\"\"<\/a>) — Dry conditions continue to lead to fires in Jamestown and Stutsman County, Sunday.<\/p>\n

At about 2-p.m., a small area of the northerly river bank in Jamestown burned<\/p>\n

The grass fire happened around 2 p.m. in the 1400 block of 9th Avenue Southeast, where the avenue deadends at the river.<\/p>\n

Jamestown City Fire Chief Jim Reuther sayes the cause of the fire was undetermined.<\/p>\n

20 fire fighters were on scene with four units for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

Also Sunday, the Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called out about 3:30 p.m. to a controlled burn near Elks park near Jamestown Reservoir.<\/p>\n

Assistant Fire Chief Brian Paulson says no further action was taken as the property owner at the burn site was supervising the burn.<\/p>\n

The Rural Fire Department was called to a fire out in a field east of Eldridge, just after 7-p.m., Sunday, where a fire was caused by a farmer discing a field.<\/p>\n

The Rural Fire Department had 10 firefighters and five units at the scene for about 1 1\/2 hours. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

KCSI TV – May 12, 1013 – The Jamestown Fire Department was called out around 2pm Sunday afternoon to a grass fire along the northerly bank of the James River in the 1400 block of 9th Av SE, where the avenue deadends at the river.<\/p>\n

The fire was quickly extinguished.\u00a0 No further information was available.<\/p>\n
