KLJ said the request is then presented for a cost share.<\/p>\n<p>Approved was a Design Engineering Agreement for 2020 Seal Coat Project with KLJ in an amount not to exceed $12,000.\u00a0 KLJ reported the project includes 40 blocks that were previously milled and overlayed, and awaiting a seal coat.<\/p>\n<p>CITY ADMINISTRATOR\u2019S REPORT:<\/p>\n<p>David Schelkoph said thanks for eight years of service, and appreciated working with the community and, wished the community the best, as he has recently resigned the position, effective later this month.<\/p>\n<p>CITY UPDATES &amp;COMMISSION REPORTS<\/p>\n<p>Commissioners and City Staff and KLJ thanked Schelkoph for his eight years of service to Valley City.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Magnuson added that the city has grown under Schelkoph, and gave thanks and best wishes.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Carslrud said the city street crews did \u201cwonderful work,\u201d in removing snow from the recent storm.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out instances in the community of racism, bullying, in schools and the university, and within the community, that are \u201cvery disheartening.\u201d\u00a0 He encouraged citizens of all ages to be kind to each other.<\/p>\n<p>He said his position of Mayor would have been much tougher without Schelkoph\u2019s guidance, Carlsrud said he would not have, \u201cSurvived this deal,\u201d (of being Mayor) without his guidance.<\/p>\n<p>He wished Schelkoph well in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was shown of CSi Cable 68, followed by replays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi)\u00a0 The Valley City Commission met in Regular Session Tuesday evening at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present.
