Patrick Wayne Schmitz lives at\u00a0 117\u00a0 \u00bd \u00a0First Street West, Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n

His vehicle is a Green\/Blue 1995 Saturn SW 2, with ND license plate, KOU 872<\/p>\n

Schmitz is a\u00a0 33 year old white male, six feet tall, weighing\u00a0 210 pounds with Blue Eyes and Brown Hair.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been assigned a High Risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee of the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Offense, Gross Sexual Imposition involving a\u00a0 14 year old female, in met when he was 23 in an online chat room.\u00a0 He also fondled a 14 year old female friend of the first victim.<\/p>\n

Conviction Date: July 2010 in Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition:\u00a0 Count 1 & 2 10 years,7 years 3 months suspended, 5 years supervised probation, county 1 & 2 concurent.<\/p>\n

Offense,\u00a0 Luring a minor by computer, when he was 23.<\/p>\n

Conviction Date:\u00a0 July 2010 Cass County District Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition: 10 years, 7 years and 3 months supended, 5 years supervised probation.<\/p>\n

Schmitz is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation.<\/p>\n

Schmitz is not wanted by police at this time and has served\u00a0 the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n

This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n

Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n

JRMC Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Michael T. Dean, repaired Danuser\u2019s joints so Danuser could repair his farm equipment – just in time for spring.<\/p>\n

Danuser says, \u201cI call it the Jamestown Regional Medical Resort,\u201d because that\u2019s how the people there made me feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now lovingly referred to as the bionic man, Danuser is sharing his story.<\/p>\n

Danuser serves as a supervisor on the Saratoga Township, a member of Future Pheasants Inc., and he\u2019s taught hunter education for more than 30 years. When he isn\u2019t serving the community, Danuser enjoys hunting, fishing and watching Bison football.<\/p>\n

His hobbies and civic involvement usually bring him joy. However, 50 years of pain interfered with his life. He scheduled his first surgery on his left shoulder when he couldn\u2019t drive the tractor without pain. He scheduled his knee surgery when it felt like \u201ctorture\u201d to shift the trucks. He scheduled his most recent surgery at the suggestion of his wife, Carol. Danuser was in so much pain, he couldn\u2019t sleep at night.<\/p>\n

Danuser adds, \u201cI knew it had to be done. And I knew exactly what Dr. Dean would say, \u2018why\u2019d you wait so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

The public is invited to join Danuser and Dr. Dean for breakfast at the Farmers Cafe in Dickey, N.D. at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. Danuser will share his story and Dr. Dean will be available for questions. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

(AP)\u00a0 North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum says he has pardoned 16 people convicted of low-level marijuana crimes. It’s the first wave in what could be thousands of pardons under a new policy the first-term Republican said allows former offenders to get a second chance. The policy adopted last year allows people with low-level marijuana convictions petition to have their records wiped clean if they avoid unlawful behavior for five years. Burgum and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem both supported the change. Burgum says it could address North Dakota\u2019s workforce shortage and grow its economy, while removing the stigma for what are minor cases from years ago.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 U.S. health officials have announced they will begin screening airline passengers from central China for a new virus that is making people sick. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday it would begin the screening immediately. People traveling from Wuhan, China, will have their temperature checked and be asked about symptoms. The CDC said it’s part of an effort to better detect and prevent a newly identified virus that emerged in China last month and has sickened dozens of people and been tied to two deaths. The CDC started a similar screening program at U.S. airports in 2014 during a large outbreak of Ebola in West Africa.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 The country’s top immigration official says New York City’s so-called sanctuary policies are to blame for the sexual assault and killing this month of a 92-year-old woman in Queens. The acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told a news conference the slaying could have been prevented had city officials complied with a request last year to hand the woman’s attacker over for deportation. The remarks come amid an escalation of the conflict between the Trump administration and so-called sanctuary cities. Mayor Bill de Blasio accused immigration officials of spreading lies and using scare tactics.<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 Police in Georgia say three men linked to a violent white supremacist group have been charged with conspiring to commit murder. Friday’s announcement comes a day after three other members of The Base who were believed to be planning to attend a pro-gun rally in Virginia were arrested on federal charges. The arrests are adding to rising fears that Monday\u2019s rally in Richmond will turn violent and could potentially become a repeat of the deadly 2017 \u201cUnite the Right\u201d rally in Charlottesville. Experts say members of The Base train in military-style camps, want to create a white ethno-state and have pledged violence against minorities.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Jury selection in Harvey Weinstein’s rape trial concluded Friday after an arduous two-week process, setting the stage for testimony to begin in the next week. The lawyers and judge halted the selection process after 12 jurors and three alternates had been seated. The main jury has seven men and five women. Three alternates were also chosen. The final tally mostly erased a gender imbalance. Hours earlier, that led to complaints by prosecutors that the defense was deliberately trying to keep young women off the panel. Weinstein is charged with raping a woman and sexually assaulting another woman. He has pleaded not guilty and said any sexual activity was consensual.<\/p>\n

Authorities say one person has died and one person is seriously injured after an avalanche at a Northern California ski resort. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says the avalanche happened Friday at Squaw Valley-Alpine Meadows, a ski resort in the Squaw Valley area of Lake Tahoe. An avalanche at Alpine Meadows in 1982 killed seven people, including several employees of the ski resort.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Three people have been sentenced to prison for a 2015 explosion in Manhattan’s East Village that killed two men. A landlord, plumber and contractor each got a term of four to 12 years Friday. The blast leveled half a block in a neighborhood filled with shops and restaurants. In addition to the men who died, it seriously injured 13 people. The men who died were a guest and a busboy in a Japanese restaurant housed in the building. Prosecutor Cyrus R. Vance Jr. warned developers his office would seek prison time for anyone who cuts corners and injures or kills New Yorkers in the process.<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 President Donald Trump is adding to his impeachment defense team, bringing in experience both in constitutional law and the politics of impeachment. He’s adding retired law professor Alan Dershowitz and Ken Starr, the independent counsel who investigated President Bill Clinton. The team will also include Pam Bondi, the former Florida attorney general. White House Counsel Pat Cipollone and Trump personal lawyer Jay Sekulow are expected to have the lead roles on the defense team. Trump faces charges of abuse of power and obstructing Congress, stemming from his pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democratic rivals as he was withholding aid from the country..<\/p>\n
