Meidinger Splash Park is named in honor of Shirley Meidinger, making \u00a0the lead donation for the project in November 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Interstate Engineering, \u00a0Project Engineer Travis Dillman says, the $2.3 million cost was a preliminary estimate for a base project.<\/p>\n<p>Bidding will include alternate items estimated at $300,000 more, that could be added to the project if additional fundraising efforts are successful.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Parks and Recreation, Director, Doug Hogan says, so far $1.6 million in donations have been raised. \u00a0Also received is a $500,000 grant from the North Dakota Land and Water Conservation Fund bringing \u00a0the available resources for the project to $2.1 million at this time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Park Board has approved the \u00a0planning and soliciting bids for the construction of a $2.3 million splash deck.
