News) &#8212; The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called out Tuesday afternoon about 1:30 (Aug 7, 2012) to a grass fire.<\/p>\n<p>The fire, a controlled burn, was located about one and a half miles north of the Eldridge I-94 exit.<\/p>\n<p>Four units and eight firefighters were dispatch to the scene. A subsequent fire on a utility pole was put out, with a minimal amount of damage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Update<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2014 The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office reports, a 37-year-old Valley City man died Monday (Aug 6, 2012) stemming from a head-on collision with his motorcycle and a pickup, on Highway 62 north of Spiritwood Lake.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Liz Kapp says the crash occurred about 4:30 \u2013p.m., approximately three miles north of Spiritwood Lake.<\/p>\n<p>Kapp says the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Obiturary from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lerudschuldt.com\/fh\/obituaries\/obituary.cfm?o_id=1553808&amp;fh_id=10878\">Lerud\u00a0Schuldt Funeral Home<\/a>:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackson \u201cJack\u201d Schnaidt<\/strong>, age 37, of Valley city, ND died Aug. 6, 2012 of injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Friday August 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Dan Forsberg officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Valley City, ND.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; The Jamestown Highway Patrol office reports, a motorcycle accident on Saturday August 4, 2012 about 11-p.m., claimed the life of a 44 year old Wimbledon man.<\/p>\n<p>The report says, Scott McMillan was northbound on paved Stutsman County Road #62 three miles north of Spiritwood (7 miles north east of Jamestown).<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle entered a curved portion of the roadway, drifted across the southbound lane and entered the west ditch.<\/p>\n<p>McMillan lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>McMillan and motorcycle came to rest in the west ditch. The motorcycle suffered moderate damage.<\/p>\n<p>McMillan was severely injured.<\/p>\n<p>He was transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where he died.<\/p>\n<p>A helmet was not in use.<\/p>\n<p>Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n<p>The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted at the accident scene.<\/p>\n<p>The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the 59-year-old Ashley man who died Monday (Aug 6, 2012) in a two-vehicle crash on I-94. He was identified Tuesday as Rickey Heinrich.,<\/p>\n<p>The patrol said the crash happened about 9:15 a.m., three miles east of Richardton.<\/p>\n<p>65 year old Janice Etherton, of Glen Ullin, was traveling westbound on I-94 in a 2004 Kenworth, hauling corn to Richardton.<\/p>\n<p>Heinrich was driving a 2004 Ford pickup westbound on I-94 also and after moving into the same lane Etherton was driving in, the driver slowed down for unexpected reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Etherton applied her brakes but was unable to avoid striking the Ford pickup from behind, and subsequently both vehicles spun into a ditch.<\/p>\n<p>Both vehicles rolled upon hitting the ditch and came to rest there.<\/p>\n<p>Etherton was wearing her seat belt and was transported to St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital in Dickinson, for injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Heinrich was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Both vehicles were totaled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V. News)\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0\u00a0 Barnes County Water Resource Board Manager Duane Lettenmaier, has been dismissed as\u00a0 the commission\u00a0decided he was using his job for personal gain.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s alleged that\u00a0Lettenmaier was directly benefiting from a drain project, that taxpayers were partially paying for. (AP) &#8211; After a chase that reached 100 mph,<br \/>\nGrand Forks Police have arrested a man sought in an earlier car<br \/>\nchase.<\/p>\n<p>31-year-old Juan Angel Robles of Grand Forks was caught after his<br \/>\ncar collided with a construction vehicle on a county road and got<br \/>\nstuck on a guard rail or a small bridge west of Merrifield.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Robles was sought for a Friday chase that ended when police<br \/>\ncalled off the pursuit because of the danger to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Criminal cases against members of a Nelson County farm family involved in a prolonged standoff with authorities last year will be handled in Grand Forks County.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State District Judge Joel Medd has approved a change of venue for Rodney Brossart, his wife and four children for reasons including media coverage and the small population of Nelson County.<\/p>\n<p>Rodney Brossart is charged with felony terrorizing and theft.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The summer-long standoff began as a case of missing cattle.
