News)\u00a0 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reported Thursday that Jamestown Reservoir releases were increased to 1000 cubic feet per second (cfs) on Thursday, May 23, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Pipestem Reservoir releases are 200 cfs.\u00a0 The combined reservoir release is 1200 cfs and is expected to remain at this level for the next several days.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week Bob Martin said, \u00a0the combined releases\u00a0 at 1,200 cfs, is \u00a0at the upper range of the release predictions\u00a0made in March and April, this year.<\/p>\n<p>Martin says\u00a0 the\u00a0 combined release of 1,200 cfs, it would raise the James River\u00a0level in Jamestown by about a foot, and would \u00a0necessitate the city to sandbag and pump the storm sewer drains.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday the reservoir at Pipestem Dam\u00a0was at 1469.2 feet above sea level with the dam currently holding about 32 percent of its total flood storage capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The reservoir at Jamestown Dam was at 1439.7 feet with about 20 percent of the dam\u2019s flood control capacity utilized.<\/p>\n<p>Flood storage at both reservoirs continues to fill and inflows are expected to be elevated for the next couple of weeks.\u00a0 Adequate flood storage remains available at the reservoirs.<br \/>\nFor more information, go to this link:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/distribution.mymediainfo.com\/lists\/lt.php?id=fB8KA1JSD1UDDU8CVANWA09WVFQAAA8%3D\">http:\/\/www.nwo.usace.army.mil\/Media\/NewsReleases\/tabid\/1835\/Article\/14266\/jamestown-pipestem-reservoirs-update.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May 23, 2013 \u00a0Omaha, NEB\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V.
