This funding is awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under DOT and will be used to finance various development projects at the following local airports:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Williston Basin International Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=32ml9uvh52\">$9,493,453<\/a> to construct a runway and install a runway guidance system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jamestown Regional Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=qspirhtgdu\">$1,531,989<\/a> to acquire aircraft rescue and firefighting safety equipment, reconstruct an apron, rehabilitate a runway, and rehabilitate three taxiways.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Garrison Municipal Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=ed0v0z2vcg\">$1,088,000<\/a> to construct an access road, a taxilane, two taxiways, a parking lot, an improved safety area, and reconstruct perimeter fencing.<\/li>\n<li>Casselton Robert Miller Regional Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=3ja7w1zk7y\">$451,121<\/a> to rehabilitate an access road.<\/li>\n<li>Robertson Field Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=ymd6kqy024\">$300,000<\/a> to acquire snow removal equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Devils Lake Regional Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=z4l9t3k2jv\">$95,000<\/a> to reconstruct apron, taxilane, and taxiway pavement.<\/li>\n<li>Bottineau Municipal Airport received <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.ost.dot.gov\/public\/ViewMessage.cfm?MsgID=io9jfd4qhv\">$60,000<\/a> to conduct a runway approach obstruction survey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These DOT grants follow a previous DOT funding announcement today awarding over $62 million to 12 local airports in North Dakota as appropriated by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
