(AP) \u2013 North Dakota Tax Commissioner Cory Fong says the state\u2019s strong economy is leading to continued record growth in taxable sales and purchases.<\/p>\n<p>Fong says taxable sales and purchases in the state during the last three months of 2012 totaled about $6.7 billion, up nearly 10 percent over the year. For calendar year 2012, the number was $25.2 billion, up about 29 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Fong says all industries in North Dakota reported growth in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>In the region, taxable sales and purchased for the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to the fourth quarter of 2011, were;<\/p>\n<p>By County:<\/p>\n<p>Barnes $23,182, 502\u2026up 9%<\/p>\n<p>Foster $22,460,460\u2026up 39%<\/p>\n<p>LaMoure $20,413,623..up 5.5%<\/p>\n<p>Stutsman $78,239,899..up 1.54%<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By City:<\/p>\n<p>Carrington $22,173,554\u2026up 40%<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown $75,084,140\u2026up 1.5%<\/p>\n<p>Valley City $20,725,562\u2026up 5.6%<\/p>\n<p>The most explosive growth is coming from western North Dakota\u2019s oil-producing region. Taxable sales and purchases in oil-rich Williams County totaled $4.6 billion for the year.
