Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 City\/County Health in Valley City reports 497 COVID-19 tests were performed on July 8 at the North Dakota Winter Show location.\u00a0 of the 497 tests, there were no positives.<\/p>\n

CCHD is now accepting appointments for COVID-19 testing each Wednesday between 4:30-p.m., and 5:30-p.m.\u00a0 Call ahead to make an appointment at 845-8518<\/p>\n

Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 City County Health District Administrator Theresa Will says with the COVID-19 drive thru testing in Valley City Wednesday, July 8, 2020\u00a0 the\u00a0 number of people surpassed\u00a0 the 500 test kit limit available.<\/p>\n

Participants\u00a0 testing\u00a0 positive will be notified by phone within 24-72 hours. While those with a negative result will be contacted within 3-5 days.<\/p>\n

She says everyone\u00a0 turned away will have another opportunity to get a free test, with a \"\"<\/a>future free testing event in Valley City\u00a0with information to be released next week.<\/p>\n

She thanks the 70 volunteers and 34 North Dakota National Guard members, along with the Salvation Army, who helped on Wednesday including Barnes County Emergency Manager Sue Lloyd and members from Sanford Clinic in Valley City.<\/p>\n

Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 City\/County Health in Valley City announces that a mass COVID-19 testing will be held on July 8\u00a0\u00a0 at the North Dakota Winter Show location.<\/p>\n

The testing is set from 2-p.m. to 6-p.m. with a drive through event including the south exhibit hall, and the parking lot area will be utilized.<\/p>\n

The testing process takes approximately 15 minutes (wait time in line may be longer). Testing will be conducted by using an oral swab of the throat.<\/p>\n

There is no cost for the test and health insurance is not processed.<\/p>\n

Those participants testing positive will be notified by phone within 24-72 hours. Efforts will be made to contact those with a negative result within 3-5 days.<\/p>\n

The goal is to test 500 people for the virus.<\/p>\n

The North Dakota National Guard will be assisting, in cooperation with \u00a0CHI Mercy Health, and CCHD staff.\u00a0 Participants will not be asked to provide proof of residency.<\/p>\n
