(UJ)<\/a> The University of Jamestown men’s cross country team placed second at the Jimmie Invite Friday afternoon at Parkhurst Cross Country Course.<\/p>\n

The Jimmies’ total of 43 points was behind first-place Dickinson State’s 15.<\/p>\n

Noah Mang<\/a> (JR\/West Chester, Ohio) was the top finisher for UJ, placing eighth in a time of 30 minutes, 36.6 seconds.<\/p>\n

David Martin<\/a> (SO\/Wasco, Calif.) took 10th in 30:52.1, followed by Andrew Hornung<\/a> (SR\/Jamestown, N.D.) in 11th with a time of 30:52.3.<\/p>\n

Obed Karege<\/a> (JR\/Amarillo, Texas) ran 33:19.6 to take 13th, Elliot Quillon<\/a> (FR\/McKinney, Texas) was 19th in 36:44.2, and Jacob Juelfs<\/a> (SR\/Medina, N.D.) 20th in 37:02.0.<\/p>\n

Next up for the Jimmies is the Mount Marty Invitational in Yankton, S.D., on October 24.<\/p>\n

(UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 The University of Jamestown women’s cross country team took third place at the Jimmie Invite, held Friday afternoon at Parkhurst Cross Country Course.<\/p>\n

The Jimmies’ score of 55 was behind first-place Dickinson State (23) and second-place Valley City State (49).<\/p>\n

Allyson Schreiber<\/a> (FR\/Sparks, Nev.) was the top finisher for UJ, running the 5K course in 20 minutes, 57.3 seconds to take seventh.<\/p>\n

Meghan Orr<\/a> (SR\/Ypsilanti, N.D.) was 12th in a time of 22:46.0, followed by Judies Yousa<\/a> (FR\/Fargo, N.D.) in 23:20.8 for 14th place.<\/p>\n

Kendra Murnion<\/a> (JR\/Grass Range, Mont.) ran 23:35.9 to take 15th, and Jaymee George<\/a> (SO\/Jamestown, N.D.) was 16th in 23:39.5.<\/p>\n

Ali Cunningham of Dickinson State placed first with a time of 20:19.0.<\/p>\n
