News )\u00a0 —\u00a0 Update Friday Afternoon\u2026.The water restriction imposed on Valley City water users was lifted Friday afternoon, June 21, 2013.The restriction was imposed due to the Main Sewer Lift Station being overwhelmed by the heavy rain that occurred in Valley City.<\/p>\n

Update\u2026 The work at the locations was completed about 4:30-p.m., on Friday. Water restrictions are no longer necessary in those areas.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jun 21, 2013) — The Jamestown City Engineer’s office reports that ffectively immediately, the City of Jamestown is requesting residents TO REDUCE WATER AND SEWER USAGE in the area from:<\/p>\n

1ST<\/sup> AVE NORTH TO 8th<\/sup> AVE NW and between 5TH<\/sup> ST NW TO 19TH<\/sup> ST NW.<\/p>\n

and… in the area from 3RD<\/sup> Ave NW to 8th<\/sup> Ave NW between 1st<\/sup> St West to 13th<\/sup> St NW. City crews are working on the repairs in this area, on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The high ground water levels along with higher river levels are creating a significant impact in this area. City Crews will continue to work on the repairs throughout the day.<\/p>\n

\u3000Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jun 21, 2013) — Update…A\u00a0prisoner who escaped from the Barnes County jail, on Thursday afternoon (Jun 20, 2013) has been found and taken into custody.<\/p>\n

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin says\u00a0Matthew Hayes Kidd, Jr., \u00a0was taken into custody on Friday June 21, 2013 at\u00a07:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Kidd, Jr.,\u00a0was spotted at a farmstead at 4:00 p.m. fleeing on foot.<\/p>\n

He was\u00a0found in a shelter belt\u00a0two miles north and\u00a0one mile east of Fingal, \u00a0spotted by an individual \u00a0passing by that area.<\/p>\n

McClaflin\u00a0adds, \u00a0Kidd Jr. was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n

Assisting the Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Office in the apprehension were the Cass County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n

On Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, cast members Brittany McIntyre, Mary Joy and Hunter Carpenter joined us.<\/p>\n

Brittany said the play is acted out with music to the poems penned by T.S. Elliot.<\/p>\n

She added that “Cats” was the second longest running musical on Broadway running from 1982-2000.<\/p>\n

The music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with the text by T.S. Elliot.<\/p>\n

The production is with permission from R&H Theatricals of New York City.<\/p>\n

Tickets at the door are $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for other adults.<\/p>\n

The event is similar to an a pub crawl held in Fargo.<\/p>\n

Creators Johnny Jerome and Joel Grant say participants are in “zombie” costumes going from bar to bar similar to Runnin\u2019 O\u2019 The Green in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

\u3000STANLEY, N.D. (AP) – Authorities say three men have been killed in fiery crash three miles east of Stanley involving a tanker trailer loaded with crude oil and five other vehicles.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the tanker trailer exploded and the vehicles burned for about five hours at the crash site on U.S. Highway 2.
\n\u00a0
\nA 26-year-old pickup truck driver from Wahpeton, a 23-year-old male passenger in that truck and a 41-year-old Minot man who was driving a second pickup truck were killed. Their names were not released.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The drivers of the rig pulling the tanker, a third pickup and a vac truck were injured.
\n\u00a0

\u00a0FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (AP) – Federal authorities have charged a woman in the death of a toddler on the Spirit Lake Reservation in North Dakota.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 31-year-old Hope Tomahawk Whiteshield, of St. Michael, is charged with child abuse and neglect. She has a detention hearing scheduled Monday.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Defense attorney Ted Sandberg did not immediately respond to a request for comment before business hours Friday.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Whiteshield is charged in the June 12 or June 13 death of a girl who was a month shy of 3 years old. FBI Special Agent Michael Meyer says in an affidavit that Whiteshield is married to the child’s grandfather.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Whiteshield is accused of throwing the girl down an embankment by the family’s home. Authorities say an autopsy concluded that the girl died of a head injury.<\/p>\n

\u00a0HETTINGER, N.D. (AP) – A man facing multiple felonies including attempted murder in a Hettinger case has pleaded guilty to a pair of lesser charges and will not see more jail time.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kevin Gardner was accused of putting a loaded gun to a woman’s head last November and pulling the trigger. The gun did not fire.
\n\u00a0
\nGardner this week pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and menacing counts. Prosecutors dropped felony counts of attempted murder, reckless endangerment and terrorizing.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gardner was given credit for time served and put on supervised probation for one year.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gardner initially was listed as a Dickinson resident, but the most recent court records say he is from Missouri.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Backers of petitions seeking to give voters an opportunity to repeal three of North Dakota’s strict new abortion laws say they are falling short of their signature goals.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Each of the three petitions needs at least 13,452 valid signatures from North Dakota voters to qualify for a statewide vote.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Committee chairman Gary Hangsleben of Grand Forks says each of the petitions is at least 2,000 signatures short and it’s doubtful that they’ll be gathered by the midnight Monday deadline.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hangsleben says he’s opposed to abortion but wants to give North Dakota residents a chance to vote on the new laws that would make the state the most restrictive in the nation in which to get the procedure.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – The federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., has ruled that a South Dakota-based rural telecom cannot charge access fees to long-distance carriers when servicing calls to large-volume businesses.\u00a0

\nNorthern Valley Communications challenged an FCC ruling on the practice known as “traffic pumping.”
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Small rural carriers are allowed to charge access fees to long-distance companies any time the rural company serviced a call from long-distance companies. But regulators at the FCC grew increasingly concerned as the rural carriers teamed up with high-volume businesses, including adult entertainment lines, conference call services or chat lines.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Northern Valley CEO James Groft says the decision won’t affect the rural carrier’s business as it has been operating in accordance with the FCC ruling for the past three years.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama has named James Comey to be the new FBI director. Comey was the No. 2 Justice Department official under George W. Bush. Obama says Comey is a model of “fierce independence and deep integrity.” Comey gained attention for blocking efforts by the Bush White House to reauthorize a no-warrant wiretapping program in 2004. If confirmed by the Senate, he would replace Robert Mueller (MUHL’-ur) and serve a 10-year tenure.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WASHINGTON (AP) – An agreement to vastly increase fencing, patrols and high-tech monitoring along the U.S.-Mexico border has been formally unveiled in the Senate. The measure backed by Democrats and Republicans is an amendment to a sweeping immigration bill that, with the amendment, now looks headed for passage next week with substantial bipartisan support. The amendment would double Border Patrol agents, add hundreds of miles of fencing, and spend billions on everything from helicopters to drones to watchtowers.

(AP) – Police in Greenville, N.C., say a man with a shotgun wounded one person at a law firm before crossing a busy street and entering a Wal-Mart, where he shot three more people before officers subdued him. \n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SOUTH FORK, Colo. (AP) – Firefighters aren’t holding out much hope of saving the Colorado tourist town of South Fork. A massive wildfire is headed toward the community in the state’s southwestern mountains, which has about 400 full-time residents. They’ve been evacuated. A spokeswoman for the firefighting effort says the hot, dry and windy weather — along with large stands of dead trees — are causing the fire to burn actively for a longer period each day than most fires burn.

The Los Angeles County birth certificate says little North was born to the celebrity and her rapper boyfriend at 5:34 a.m. Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
