MINOT, N.D.\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 —\u00a0<\/strong>Jordon Kromm<\/a> (FR\/Calgary, Alberta) scored a hat trick and four other Jimmies had goals as the University of Jamestown hockey team defeated Minot State University 7-3 Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Jamestown scored three times in the first, with a pair of goals coming from Kromm and the third by Morgan Venne<\/a> (FR\/Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).<\/p>\n

Logan Berggren<\/a> (FR\/Cypress, Calif.), Jed Butler<\/a> (FR\/Mazama, Wash.), and Kromm each found the back of the net in the second as UJ led 6-2 after two.<\/p>\n

Hunter Maximnuk<\/a> (FR\/Heritage Point, Alberta) made it 7-2 Jimmies at the 12:48 mark of the third before the Beavers would round out the scoring with their third of the night at 16:03.<\/p>\n

Marquez Ginger<\/a> (FR\/Augusta, Ga.) had a pair of assists while Berggren, Carter Johnson<\/a> (JR\/Meeteetse, Wyo.), Nathan Cohen-Wallis<\/a> (FR\/Canmore, Alberta), and Greg Susinski<\/a> (FR\/Calgary, Alberta) also had helpers.<\/p>\n

Tyson Brouwer<\/a> (SR\/Lethbridge, Alberta) had 23 saves in goal for UJ. The Jimmies outshot the Beavers 35-26.<\/p>\n

Jamestown is back in action April 6\u00a0at home against Minot State at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
