\nEmily Smith \u2013 Valley City State (N.D.) \u2013 5\u20197\u2033 \u2013 Senior \u2013 pitcher \u2013 Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Smith tossed her first career no-hitter, setting a new school record of 51 career wins in Valley City State\u2019s (N.D.) 1-0 victory over Doane (Neb.).\u00a0 She struck out 14 batters and walked just two in the game.\u00a0 Smith also pitched an inning in relief in the first game, striking out three straight batters despite a 5-4 setback to the Tigers.<\/p>\n
\nKatelyn Kubitschek \u2013 Dickinson State (N.D.) \u2013 5\u20196\u2033 \u2013 Junior \u2013 catcher \u2013 Phoenix, Ariz.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Kubitschek collected at least two hits and scored a run each in four games as Dickinson State (N.D.) went 5-0 record for the week.\u00a0 She was 9-of-15 at the plate (.600 batting average).\u00a0 Kubitschek also registered a slugging percentage of .800 with three doubles (2 doubles versus Minnesota-Moorhead) and drove in two runs.\u00a0 She swiped five bases for the week.<\/p>\n
