There is not a fee for the public, however there is a $15 vendor fee. The fee for food vendors is $50. Word has it the cowboys are restless and might be looking for trouble, so on\u2019t miss the Wild West Shootout at 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 3, 2013) — Elvis fans in the area are invited to another, and likely the last, “Remembering Elvis,” memorabilia show in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s (July 3, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jack Gorman of Jamestown, who along with his wife Betty will have their Elvis items on displays including some new items they picked up from their trip to Grace Land this past May.<\/p>\n

He said this time there will be 13 additional display items including Elvis\u2019s jewelry and outfits. There will also be a new video showing featuring a tour of Grace Land of the resident\u2019s area, not previously seen.<\/p>\n

There will also be items for sale, including a new item, T-shirts from Elvis\u2019s last concert.<\/p>\n

Jack noted that photos may be taken with the Jamestown display items, and photos taken by Jack at Elvis\u2019s last concert will be on sale inside the show, at $5 each.<\/p>\n

The Remembering Elvis show will be August 14, 15, & 16 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jamestown, from 10-a.m., to 8-p.m., each day.<\/p>\n

The admission is $10 for adults, and $7.50 for children 11-17 years old.<\/p>\n

Jack stresses that there will be NO Elvis impersonators at the show.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND KCSi-T.V. News (Jul 5, 2013) — The South East Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be saturating Cass County and Stutsman County during the evening and overnight hours on July 8th<\/sup>, 2013 through July 14th<\/sup>, 2013. Extra Troopers will be on duty patrolling both areas in an effort to deter and arrest impaired drivers.<\/p>\n

Impaired drivers are a threat to the safety of all motorists. Sixty-Seven people have died in traffic crashes on North Dakota roadways in 2013. Twenty-five people have died in alcohol-related crashes. Saturation Patrols are an important enforcement tool along with a strong public education effort aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes.<\/p>\n

The primary purpose of this saturation event is to deter the deadly practice of drinking and driving.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 COOPERSTOWN, N.D. (AP) – A recall election for all five Griggs County commissioners has been set for October 8th.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A petition drive seeking the recall election was launched after the commission voted this spring to proceed with building a $3.5 million courthouse and emergency operations center, despite voters rejecting the idea three times in separate elections over the past two years.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The county auditor’s office posted the election notice Wednesday.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Construction has begun on the new facility just south of the existing building, which is the oldest county courthouse in North Dakota that is still in its original use.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some county residents want to save the old courthouse, which was built in 1884 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Fire officials in Bismarck say one person had to be rescued out of a second-floor window when an eight-unit apartment building caught fire, and another occupant jumped from a second-story window.<\/p>\n

Both people were treated at local hospitals Thursday evening and released.<\/p>\n

The fire started in a main floor apartment kitchen. Firefighters quickly put it out, but damage is estimated at about $100,000 and all of the building’s occupants have been displaced.<\/p>\n

The cause of the blaze wasn’t immediately determined.<\/p>\n

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) – A Moorhead, Minnesota man who tried to flee from police found out the hard way that a moped doesn’t make a great escape vehicle.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Moorhead police say the 32-year-old was driving on the wrong side of the road near Concordia University on Thursday about 1:20 a.m.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An officer tried to stop him, and he allegedly tried to evade the officer by driving through Concordia’s campus and across several yards.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At one point he came to a fenced yard. He swerved to avoid it, turning in the direction of another police officer. The officer simply yanked him off the moped.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He’s jailed on tentative charges that include a felony count of fleeing a police officer and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol this year tripled the number of motor carrier troopers and inspectors taking part in an annual commercial motor vehicle enforcement program that takes place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

\n\u00a0\u00a0 60 members of the Highway Patrol took part in Roadcheck, up from 15 to 20 troopers and inspectors a year ago.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The patrol completed 690 inspections during the event last month, up from 339 a year ago.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The effort found 508 violations. While 112 violations dealt with drivers, 380 involved vehicles and 16 involved hazardous materials.

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota State University has turned over nearly 2,000 pages of emails deleted from President Dean Bresciani’s account to the North Dakota Legislative Council. In April, the council requested Bresciani’s correspondence that mentioned then-chancellor Hamid Shirvani. The council got some emails, but school officials later determined more than 45,000 emails had been deleted from Bresciani’s account.<\/p>\n

\u00a0DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) – Officials say some workers in Dickinson severed a saltwater pipeline to the oil patch, causing the liquid to spill into a ditch. Stark County Road Superintendent Al Heiser tells the Dickinson Press that the line was ruptured Tuesday night along Highway 10, about 3 miles west of Dickinson.<\/p>\n

(AP) – A group that referees water disputes between the U.S. and Canada is asking both countries to fund a $2 million study on river management and flood protection in the Souris River Basin. The International Joint Commission says it wants to update operating rules under a 1989 agreement. Historic flooding in the basin in 2011 swamped more than 4,000 homes and other structures in Minot and Ward County.<\/p>\n

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Democratic Party is pushing to fill a campaign war chest for the 2014 election in the aftermath of a legislative session that passed voter identification and abortion restrictions.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An email from former U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan went out Sunday urging supporters to donate in the final hours before a quarterly campaign contribution reporting deadline closed.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The email says, “This year, North Dakota has seen some of the most extreme policies to date come out of Bismarck.” Democratic Party spokeswoman Rania Batrice says that’s prompting some new people to get involved.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Agriculture Department in its latest report says stocks of all types of wheat in North Dakota on June 1 totaled 84.2 million bushels, up 22 percent from 2012. In South Dakota, they totaled 32.2 million bushels, up 37 percent.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Corn and soybean stocks were up in North Dakota but down in South Dakota.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Wildlife officials say they increasingly worry about the loss of Conservation Reserve Program land.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The federal government pays landowners to take the land out of production and plant cover crops that make ideal wildlife habitat. High commodity prices have lured many farmers out of the program.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Casey Anderson with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department says the state has lost half its CRP land since 2007. He says CRP has dropped from 3.4 million acres to 1.7 million acres during that time.

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A new study shows that North Dakota is tops in the nation in beer shipments per capita, if age is taken into account.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The analysis was done by the Beer Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based trade association representing brewers, importers and suppliers. It found that nearly 46 gallons of beer were shipped to North Dakota for every person of legal drinking age last year. Put another way, it’s about 82 six-packs for every person.

UNDATED (AP) – People familiar with the deal tell The Associated Press that Sacramento, New Orleans and Portland have agreed to a three-team trade.
