{"id":223970,"date":"2021-04-21T15:30:43","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T20:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=223970"},"modified":"2021-04-21T16:27:37","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T21:27:37","slug":"county-asking-for-cost-estimates-possible-gun-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=223970","title":{"rendered":"County asking for cost estimates, possible gun range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range (JMER) has brought to the Stutsman County Commission \u00a0a possible lease agreement to build a gun range in the county for 27.9 acres, with the land located at the east side of Jamestown Reservoir.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, JMER President Keith Domke approached the Stutsman County Commission about a possible lease agreement for 27.9 acres of land on the east side of the reservoir.<\/p>\n<p>Domke pointed out that the plan includes building an indoor recreational shooting and education facility of about 36,000 square feet of land just south of the ND Game &amp; Fish Department office.<\/p>\n<p>Domke added that it would not affect any amenities in the area including the walking path and landscaping.<\/p>\n<p>Donations for the project would \u00a0go toward funding, \u00a0through the Game &amp; Fish Department, which are used to build shooting ranges.<\/p>\n<p>Domke said the cost \u00a0could exceed $3 million based on similar projects.<\/p>\n<p>Commission Chairman Mark Klose said commissioners would like to know an estimate, needed before the project can move forward.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with questions about the project can \u00a0contact Keith Domke at 701-320-6983 or email keith.domke@gmail.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range (JMER) has brought to the Stutsman County Commission \u00a0a possible lease agreement to build a gun range in the county for 27.9 acres, with the land located at the east side of Jamestown Reservoir.
