Hi Everybody\u201d,\u00a0(Herb Carneal, Minnesota Twins)<\/p>\n

Last week was a time of continuing education for many of us.\u00a0Workshops were held by Missouri River Energy Services, (MRES), in Sioux Falls and the North Dakota League of Cities, (NDLC) in Bismarck.\u00a0Brenda Klein and Avis Richter were recognized for their achievements in the NDLC Leadership Training Program, congratulations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cSMOKERS\u201d.\u00a0Will you please consider carrying a receptacle to contain cigarette butts and wrappers?\u00a0They do not decompose well and many end up in people\u2019s yards.\u00a0You can make a difference, thank you.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody\u201d.\u00a0Other refuse is strewn throughout the city and county too.\u00a0Please carry a container as per the aforementioned.\u00a0If you see something on the ground, please pick it up.\u00a0You can make a difference, thank you.<\/p>\n

The Legislative Session will likely conclude this week.\u00a0Our legislators had to sort through hundreds of bills and make many tough decisions while representing citizens of North Dakota.\u00a0Thank you all for serving.<\/p>\n

Last week, some COVID \u201cfront line workers\u201d were mentioned.\u00a0An omission on my part is the National Guard.\u00a0They helped facilitate mass testing, vaccinations and whatever else was needed.\u00a0Please say \u201cThank you\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last Thursday Mary O\u2019Neill from the North Dakota Forest Service provided a pruning seminar on the VCSU Campus.\u00a0\u201cIf young trees are pruned to promote good structure, they will likely remain serviceable in the landscape more years than trees that have not been structurally pruned\u201d. https:\/\/www.ag.ndsu.edu\/ndfs\/programs-and-services\/community-forestry<\/a><\/p>\n
