(KCSi-T.V. News Jun 6, 2013) \u2013 The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office reports, three people were injured when a pickup truck pulling a trailer went off the road, going northwest on County Road 38 ( the 4300 block of 90th Avenue Southeast) in Stutsman County, south of Jamestown, around 6 p.m. Saturday (Jun 6, 2013).<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle entered a ditch and tipped onto its side, when the operator, Nicholas Docktor failed to negotiate a turn.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Josh Metzger says, &#8220;Speed was probably the only factor there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sgt. Damian Hoyt says Docktor and four passengers were from Ypsilanti.<\/p>\n<p>Hoyt said two individuals were taken to a hospital by Jamestown Ambulance Service, another was airlifted to a Bismarck hospital with a possible spinal injury.<\/p>\n<p>A seven year old child was among the passengers, but did not have serous injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Docktor, was not injured, and was cited for driving without a license, and care required.<\/p>\n<p>None of the five occupants was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n<p>Metzger estimated about $10,000 in damage to the truck.<\/p>\n<p>More information will be available as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jun 7, 2013) \u2014 Police continue to look for information and clues as to the whereabouts of missing 17 year old Kristina Ranisate.<\/p>\n<p>She was last seen May 20, 2013, about 4:30-p.m., when she was dropped off for work at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown by her foster parents.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Police Detective Captain Gary Peterson is continuing to send information to law enforcement agencies in small towns in North and South Dakota and surrounding states, asking if anyone has seen or been in in contact with Ranisate.<\/p>\n<p>Her biological mother lives in Pierre, South Dakoa, and her biological father lives in Larimore, North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Peterson said he has considered Ranisate\u2019s disappearance as a runaway.,<\/p>\n<p>Authorities hope Ranisate will contact her family or law enforcement, to let then know she is okay.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about Ransate\u2019s current location or her disappearance may call the Jamestown Law Enforcement Center at 701-252-1000 and ask for Captain Peterson.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fort Seward, Jamestown, Dakota Territory (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2013 July the 6th \u2013 Sgt Keller, on detachment from Fortress Monroe, Virginia, held a demonstration of the Gatling\u2019s Battery Gun on Saturday at Ft. Seward in Jamestown as part of the White Cloud Days celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The Sgt, an instructor at the United States School of Artillery, is an expert in cannons, mortars, and Gatling guns.<\/p>\n<p>A large crowd of local men, women, and even children were onlookers.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt Keller enlisted the aid of two members from the 20th Infantry, Dale Marks and Keith Norman, as he put it, of &#8220;average intelligence&#8221;, to fire the gun while he stood back in a safe position, to be out of enemy fire.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration started with firing several rounds from the cannon.<\/p>\n<p>They then proceeded to show the loading procedures, firing smaller number of rounds before they unleashed hellfire with a burst of 510 rounds in the blink of an eye from the Gatling\u2019s Battery Gun.<\/p>\n<p>CSi 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL recorded the event, for later showings.<\/p>\n<p>Photos to document the occasion were taken by M.R. News Jul 8, 2013) &#8212; A Tuesday evening meeting is set at 8-p.m., at the All Vets Club in Jamestown, to discuss its future.<\/p>\n<p>All veterans as well as members of service groups that use the club are urged to attend.<\/p>\n<p>The club has struggled financially for several months.<\/p>\n<p>The club had been managed on a volunteer basis by Carol Martin.<\/p>\n<p>The All Vets Club employs two people full time and about 11 part-time workers.<\/p>\n<p>A search this spring for a paid manager was unsuccessful with no applications received.<\/p>\n<p>The Club\u2019s financial shortfall has been about $2,500 per month.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota law requires counties to furnish veteran\u2019s groups with a meeting place, but not a bar or restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The building is owned by Stutsman County and All Vets Club owns the bar fixtures and restaurant equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fire has heavily damaged a downtown business in Williston.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The blaze at Gaffaney&#8217;s Stationery began about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The building&#8217;s back wall eventually collapsed as firefighters fought to stop the flames from spreading to neighboring buildings.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Watford City&#8217;s school enrollment is expected to double to 1,600 students in the next three years because of the western North Dakota oil boom, and officials are discussing the best way to accommodate the growth.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 School Superintendent Steve Holen says it would cost as much as $30 million add a third building to the school campus. School board member Gary Bruins says he would rather build another school than put hundreds of students in portable classrooms. He hopes community meetings can be held this summer so that residents can vote in the fall on what to do.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWorkers are just finishing an $11.5 million, 30,000-square-foot addition to the city&#8217;s elementary school. Holen says doing more building would require some financial help from the state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0CARPIO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Work will begin this summer on a housing development that could more than double the size of the northwestern North Dakota town of Carpio.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Illinois-based developer Eagle Homes is building 148 lots in the community on the outskirts of the oil patch. Carpio had a population of 157 in 2010.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ken Wisniewski with Eagle Homes\u00a0says \u00a0the project is geared toward providing affordable housing for families. Work is to start next month.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 About 40 homes are expected to be complete this year, with the entire development finished by the end of 2014. (AP) &#8211; Trial is set to begin for a North Dakota man is accused of accepting kickbacks for housing contracts on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Michael Addington has pleaded not guilty to two counts, including conspiracy to commit fraud, theft and bribery with programs receiving federal funds.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities accused Addington of using his position with the Standing Rock Housing Authority to help a construction company in Fort Pierre, S.D., receive new projects.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Addington allegedly gave information from sealed bids that allowed the company to underbid the competition.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jury selection is scheduled to begin today in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Memorial services have been set in Bismarck and Fargo for former North Dakota first lady Jean Guy.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jean Guy died Friday. She was 90.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jean Guy was the wife of Gov. William Guy, who was North Dakota&#8217;s longest-serving governor from 1961 to 1973. He died in April from complications of Alzheimer&#8217;s disease at the age of 93.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck and Thursday at 1:30 p.m at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0MANDAN, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The Morton County Commission is protesting an annexation plan to expand Mandan&#8217;s city limits. The Mandan City Commission has proposed annexing 1,000 acres north of Mandan Middle School. But some county residents are concerned about increased costs for city services.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Dakotas-based Sanford Health is opening its new children&#8217;s clinic in North Dakota&#8217;s capital city. The clinic in north Bismarck that is built to resemble a castle will start taking patients this week. It will supplement children&#8217;s care provided at Sanford&#8217;s downtown Bismarck campus. A public open house is scheduled tomorrow evening.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Geologists say North Dakota&#8217;s state Capitol shook a little 45 years ago.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State geologists say the earthquake struck the state on July 8, 1968.
