News Jul 15, 2013) &#8212; A decsion on the fate of the All Vets Club in Jamestown is still up in the air.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors met Saturday morning, but did not come to a decision.<\/p>\n<p>The board decided more time was needed concerning possible options to keep the club open\u00a0in light of the struggle with finances.<\/p>\n<p>Veterans organizations are requesting time to meet with their groups,to determine what they could come up with for recommendations on keeping the club open.<\/p>\n<p>That, according to Board Chairman Leroy Wegenast.<\/p>\n<p>Since February this year the club has continued to fall short by approximately $2,500 a month.<\/p>\n<p>Wegenast says he\u2019s still hopeful a solution can be found to keep the All Vets Club open.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Reported previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 10, 2013) &#8212;\u00a0 At a special meeting Tuesday evening, (Jul 9, 2013) at \u00a0the All Vets Club, in Jamestown, \u00a0no &#8220;concrete&#8221; suggestions were offered to keep the Club open.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was called by Vets Club Chairman, LeRoy Wegenast.<\/p>\n<p>He says, about 75 individuals attended Tuesday\u2019s meeting, which included members of local veterans organization and auxiliaries, along with Vets Club employees, and patrons, and community members.<\/p>\n<p>Wegenast said he was disappointed that no definitive suggestions were made by those in attendance, that would keep the financially struggling club open.<\/p>\n<p>A suggestion was made to borrow money to keep the club open.<\/p>\n<p>He added that at the meeting donations were taken, but were little more than a &#8220;band-aid,&#8221; of what is need to keep the club open.<\/p>\n<p>He said a possible option to inject finances into the operation could be establishing a capital campaign.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Vets Club Board will meet informally to discuss the club\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>If a decision is made to close, the closure will be immediately.<\/p>\n<p>He said the next formal board meeting is in October this year, but the club will not able to stay open until that time, given the present financial circumstances if the board would decide at that time to have a fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>The Club\u2019s financial shortfall has been about $2,500 per month.<\/p>\n<p>Wegenast pointed out that two people have applied for the vacant manager\u2019s position.<\/p>\n<p>A search this spring for a paid manager was unsuccessful with no applications received.<\/p>\n<p>The club had been managed on a volunteer basis by Carol Martin.<\/p>\n<p>The All Vets Club employs two people full time and about 11 part-time workers.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota law requires counties to furnish veteran\u2019s groups with a meeting place, but not a bar or restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The building is owned by Stutsman County and All Vets Club owns the bar fixtures and restaurant equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reported previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND KCSi-T.V.
