News Jul 8, 2013) \u2014 Valley City Police is informing the public of a registered high risk sex offender living in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Allan Joseph Cook has registered with police and is residing at 305 4th Street Southeast in Valley City.<\/p>\n<p>Cook was convicted in February of 2002 of two Class \u201cC\u201d Felony counts of sexual assault. The incidents involved two 15-year-old girls, in separate incidents.<\/p>\n<p>The North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office has more information.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with questions may call the Valley City Police Department, at 845-3110.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 8, 2013) The Jamestown\/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) Board of Directors has approved the 2014 budget.<\/p>\n<p>The budget increase is from $400,000 in 2013 to $415,000 in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Stutsman County&#8217;s share is $83,000, and the City of Jamestown provides $332,000, with the dollars coming from the half percent sales tax dedicated to jobs development.<\/p>\n<p>JSDC CEO Connie Ova says, the overall increase is about 3.5 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The wage line item shows a 5 percent increase.<\/p>\n<p>The budget must be approved by the Stutsman County Commission and Jamestown City Council.<\/p>\n<p>The JSDC board approved selling a lot in the I-94 Business Park to Buffalo City Diesel as part of an expansion project.<\/p>\n<p>The business is plans to add another building for additional service space and parts inventory, and will add three to four employees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 8, 2013) &#8212; Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has partnered with Sanford Health to provide patients with an integrated state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR). News Jul 8, 2013) &#8212; Two Red Cross volunteers from Valley City, have been dispatched to assist with the response to wildfires in Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Cross is operating three shelters in Arizona\u2014in Kingman, Prescott and Wickenburg.<\/p>\n<p>The Yarnell Fire where the 19 firefighter fatalities occurred, is only 25 miles from Wickenburg.<\/p>\n<p>The shelters were established for individuals and families forced to evacuate because of wildfires.<\/p>\n<p>Long-time volunteers, Paul and Barb Henke left Sunday for Arizona, and become the 4th and 5th volunteers from the \u2018Dakotas Region\u2019 to deploy.<\/p>\n<p>The Henkes most recently, spent two weeks in New York assisting with Superstorm Sandy relief efforts.<\/p>\n<p>In Arizona, they will be working in bulk distribution of supplies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says more than 30,000 American white pelicans have returned to nest in south central North Dakota.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Biologists say the nesting colony at Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge is the largest in North America.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge Manager Neil Shook says an aerial count shows about 15,000 nests. (AP) &#8211; An autopsy has confirmed that a body found in Montana is that of a teenager missing from North Dakota.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bismarck Police Lt. Gary Malo says \u00a0the body found June 26 at a home in Poplar, Mont., is that of 18-year-old John Swain. Swain had recently moved from Sioux Falls, S.D., to Bismarck, and authorities believe he was lured to a home where he was hit with a hammer before his legs were dismembered.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Two people have been charged in the death. Authorities say Swain&#8217;s body was found at a home owned by the grandmother of one of the suspects, 25-year-old Theo Crowe, of Trenton.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Crowe and 20-year-old Joshua Clark, of Stanley, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder. (AP) &#8211; A trial for the former executive director of a Bismarck nonprofit accused of making unauthorized purchase with the organization&#8217;s checkbook and credit card is set for a September trial.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thirty-year-old David Mau has pleaded not guilty to one count of forgery or counterfeiting and two counts of theft of property. (AP) &#8211; The U.S. Department of Agriculture says temperatures that were 2 to 8 degrees warmer across most of the state this past week are continuing to advance the state&#8217;s crop development. The Agricultural Statistics Service&#8217;s North Dakota field office says in its weekly crop report that farmers and ranchers had on average 6 days suitable for fieldwork.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; State lawmakers from West Virginia are coming to North Dakota this summer to learn more about the state&#8217;s efforts to set aside tax money generated by the oil and gas industry.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 North Dakota&#8217;s Legacy Fund gets 30 percent of the state&#8217;s oil tax collections. It topped $1 billion in assets in April. None of the money can be spent until 2017, and only then if the Legislature decides by a two-thirds vote to dip into the fund.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 West Virginia Senate President Jeff Kessler will lead that state&#8217;s delegation.
