\"\"<\/a>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 On Sunday June 13\u00a0 at 2pm<\/strong>,\u00a0 law enforcement \u00a0agencies from Jamestown, Grand Forks, Fargo, Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office, different army units, and more, will gathered at the Jamestown Civic Center to travel in a procession to pay tribute to Grand Forks Officer Cody Holte in a Memorial Dedication.<\/p>\n

Ryan Lindberg says, on hand at the Civic Center before the procession left were around 30 members of the 817th engineer company that served with officer Holte, or those that didn\u2019t, but understand the importance of supporting the family and the event.\u00a0 Agencies from all across ND attended, including\u00a0 Sheriff Offices, Police Departments, BCI, Highway Patrol, Game and Fish, Fire Department.<\/p>\n

The 29 year old Holte lost his life in the line of duty on May 27, 2020 in a shootout, that also claimed the life of a woman, and injured another law enforcement officer and wounded\u00a0 the suspect.<\/p>\n

The event is planned for June 13th will honor the former officer and 1st Lt. with the National Guard.<\/p>\n

Ryan Lindberg served with Lt. Holte for five years with the National Guard 817 Engineering Company in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

He says, the event will leave the Civic Center, around 2-p.m. going 25 miles north on Highway 281, where the procession will pay their respects, to Lt. Holte, adding that the public is invited to send off the procession from the Jamestown Civic Center.<\/p>\n

Holte had been with the police department for three years. He is survived by a wife and infant son. He also served concurrently in the Army Reserve and Army National Guard for about a decade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
