Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Frontier Village is seeing a large increase in tourists so far this year.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund said, tourist traffic through the Village has been steady, starting with Memorial Day Weekend, this year.<\/p>\n

He said compared to 2019, visitors to the Village has increase by 18 percent. He adds that vendor sales are up as well.<\/p>\n

He said the National Buffalo Museum has seen similar increases.<\/p>\n

A vendor is still be sought for the Frontier Village, General Store.\u00a0 Anyone interested can contact Jamestown Tourism at 701-251-9145.<\/p>\n

Searle said an Open House date will be announced in August at the Village.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the Jamestown City Council has approved the Villages improvements.<\/p>\n

\"\"He adds that the Railroad Parkette <\/a>construction has started, just inside the gate to the right, where the thresher was located.\u00a0 Rail cars have been ordered to arrive in about a month as track work continues with planning assistance by BNSF Railroad.\u00a0 He said it\u2019s hopeful the Railroad\u00a0 Parkette will be operational by September this year.\u00a0 Funding has been provided by the Jamestown Eagles Club.<\/p>\n

He said the thresher has been relocated just outside of Jamestown and is on display.<\/p>\n
