(AP Jul 18, 2013) \u2013 Stutsman County has passed an ordinance regulating crew camps.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0 ordinance restricts crew camps to agricultural, commercial and industrial zones and does not permit them in any residential areas.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It also requires that any crew camp have a 6-foot fence surrounding its perimeter, be 1,320 feet from any residence or occupied structure, have a $1 million surety bond for cleanup, show legible unit numbers and have all required health and safety permits,<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Crew camps also will be charged a $300 annual administrative fee per bed in addition to property taxes on the land.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Zoning administrator Dustin Bakken says definitions for campgrounds, trailers and travel trailers will be added to the regular zoning ordinances to help distinguish them from crew camps<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News (Jul 16, 2013) &#8212; Stutsman County now has in place an Ordinance that prepares the county for any possible &#8220;crew camps,&#8221; that may spring up in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The Stutsman County Commissioners approved the Ordinance that will protect the county from any misuse that may be created by occupants of the camps.<\/p>\n<p>County Commissioner Dale Marks was not aware at this time of any plans for a crew camp to be established in the county.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JAMESTOWN, N.D.
