Project KLJ said the two bids were rejected. The Commission moved to approve the bids, and the moved to reject the bids.<\/p>\n<p>The project will be rebid, later.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>N<\/strong><strong>EW <\/strong><strong>B<\/strong><strong>USINESS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approved the Policy Manual Change. \u00a0City Attorney Martineck said the 40 hours of sick leave time was amended for what they can be used for, as discussed at the Finance Committee Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Approved an Applications for Property Tax Exemption for Improvements at the following addresses:<\/p>\n<p>As recommended by City Assessor Hansen:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>220 9<sup>th <\/sup>Ave NW \u00a0\u00a0A fourplex with renovations continuing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1049 5<sup>th <\/sup>Ave NW<\/p>\n<p>1035 5<sup>th <\/sup>Ave NW<\/p>\n<p>1019 5<sup>th <\/sup>Ave NW<\/p>\n<p>Those consist of two fourplexes and an eightplex<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>645 12<sup>th <\/sup>St NW Renovations<\/p>\n<p>715 12<sup>th <\/sup>St NW Renovations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Approved was the \u00a0Preliminary 2022 City Budget. \u00a0\u00a0Finance Director Richter said, budgeting meetings have been held.\u00a0 She said the Mill Levey increase amounts to 4.46 Mills.\u00a0 $100,000 needs to be replaced that is no longer available from CARES funds in the 2021 Budget.\u00a0 There will be 30-percent in the General Fund Budget Reserve Fund, as required.\u00a0 A Public Hearing will be held on the budget, at a date to be determined, after property owners are notified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Approved the Revised Road Maintenance Agreement with Valley Township Regarding 35th St SE.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Discussed was Offering for Sale Lots 63-3450012 and 63-3440047. \u00a0City Assessor Hansen said,\u00a0 the appraised values \u00a0are fair.<\/p>\n<p>The City Commission voted to table the offers, pending negotiations \u00a0between the city and the property owner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong><strong>ITY <\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>DMINISTRATOR<\/strong><strong>\u2019<\/strong><strong>S <\/strong><strong>R<\/strong><strong>EPORT HIGLIGHTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gwen Crawford said, meetings are continuing with Waterfront \u00a0Meadows developers.<\/p>\n<p>She adds, the parking lot construction is continuing at Hannah Field.<\/p>\n<p>She reminded residents that demolition projects require a permit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong><strong>ITY <\/strong><strong>U<\/strong><strong>PDATES <\/strong><strong>&amp; C<\/strong><strong>OMMISSION <\/strong><strong>R<\/strong><strong>EPORTS <\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>DJOURN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>City Assessor Hansen said she will attend the State Board of Equalization meetings in Bismarck next week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>KLJ updated projects in progress.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner, Mike Bishop welcomed Police Officer Burk to the Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Carlsrud has seen some improvement in not littering on the city streets.<\/p>\n<p>He thanked those who have worked on the budget, and have been working outdoors in the heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The meeting was shown live on CSi Cable 68 followed by replays.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi)\u00a0 The Valley City Commission met in Regular Session Tuesday evening at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present.
