Valley City\u00a0 (NDHP)\u00a0 The ND Highway Patrol reports that a 77-year old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Valley City, at 9:55-p.m. Friday, August 13.<\/p>\n
The report says, the driver of a 1991 Ford F-150 pickup 19-year old Savannah Jo Drake\u00a0 was operating in\u00a0 the 300 block of Main Street East. \u00a0 The pedestrian,\u00a0 77 year old\u00a0 Conrad Hoff, from Oriska, was walking in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the Ford\u2019s front bumper. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the pickup was\u00a0 not injured.\u00a0 Any charges are pending the investigation.<\/p>\n
Barnes County Ambulance transported Hoff to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and\u00a0 later transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo via Sanford Airmed where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n
The crash remains under investigation. The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Valley City Police, Barnes County Sheriff, and Barnes County Ambulance responded to the incident.<\/p>\n
