MOORHEAD, Minn.\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>)–\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Jamestown women’s cross country team<\/strong> saw its first action of the season Friday evening at the Dragon Twilight, hosted by Minnesota State University-Moorhead.<\/p>\n Paige Erbstoesser<\/a> (FR\/West Fargo, N.D.) was the first Jimmie runner to cross the line, finishing the 4K race in 17 minutes, 19.8 seconds.<\/p>\n Elise Cummins<\/a> (FR\/Sparks, Nev.) followed Erbstoesser with a time of 18:18.0, then Silje Kindseth<\/a> (FR\/Grand Forks, N.D.) in 18:42.4. Jennifer Tallackson<\/a> (FR\/Wheatland, N.D.) rounded things out for UJ, finishing in 19:47.3.<\/p>\n It was the first collegiate race for all four runners.<\/p>\n Taylor Hestekin of the University of Mary was the top placer, finishing in 14:32.3.<\/p>\n The Jimmies will be at the Shane Grever Invitational in Dickinson, N.D., on September 24.<\/p>\n DRAGON TWILIGHT RESULTS–WOMEN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n MOORHEAD, Minn.–\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Jamestown men’s cross country team<\/strong> <\/a>competed in its first meet of the season Friday, finishing ninth at the Dragon Twilight, hosted by Minnesota State University-Moorhead.<\/p>\n Drew Hjelmstad<\/a> (FR\/Maple Grove, Minn.) was the top finisher for UJ, running the 6K course in 20 minutes, 35.4 seconds. Kadin Neppl<\/a> (FR\/Maddock, N.D.) was the Jimmies’ second finisher in a time of 22:04.5.<\/p>\n Noah Mang<\/a> (JR\/West Chester, Ohio) (22:12.9), Micah Hoke<\/a> (FR\/Jamestown, N.D.) (22:21.0), and David Martin<\/a> (JR\/Wasco, Calif.) (22:26.5) rounded out the Jamestown top five.<\/p>\n Ethan Sherva<\/a> (FR\/Portland, N.D.) (22:36.1), Corbin Cornelius<\/a> (FR\/Wahpeton, N.D.) (24:22.2), Lorenzo Maldonado<\/a> (JR\/Wasco, Calif.) (25:34.4), and Jacob Juelfs<\/a> (SR\/Medina, N.D.)
