Jamestown (Arts Center) \u00a0 Jamestown Arts Center Director, Mindi Schmitz says this summer\u2019s Downtown Arts Market in Downtown Jamestown was successful and well attended.\u00a0 She said the weather cooperated, and those in attendance enjoyed the activities and entertainment.<\/p>\n

The Arts Market started off with the Chalk Fest, and there was a visit by entertainer, Jesse Veeder.\u00a0 Mindi says next year\u2019s events are planned to continue.<\/p>\n

On Thursday\u2019 Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Mindi added that, \u00a0Oktober Fest, planned for\u00a0 Sat Sept 18 starting at 5pm at the Hansen Arts Park in downtown Jamestown. Entertainment will be provided by the Blue Whalers, and local musician Tim Burchill.<\/p>\n

Beer will be available On at the event for those 21 and older, and ID\u2019s will be checked.<\/p>\n

There will be \u00a0Oktoberfest German beers on tap.\u00a0 There will be live music, along with German style games and festivities<\/p>\n

Tickets are $35 each and available at\u00a0www.jamestownarts.com<\/strong><\/a>, from an Arts Center Board Member, at the gate and at Cork & Barrel.\u00a0 Bratwurst and snacks will be part of the admission price.<\/p>\n

Costumes are encouraged.<\/p>\n

From the musical score, acting, costume design, makeup, lighting design, cinematography, etc… These short films were created by devoted artists of all sorts from six continents and chosen from over 970 submissions.<\/p>\n

All audience members will be given a ballet at entrance and will be able to vote for Best Actor and Best Film.<\/p>\n
