{"id":244252,"date":"2022-02-14T11:42:31","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T17:42:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=244252"},"modified":"2022-02-14T11:42:31","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T17:42:31","slug":"jrmc-foundation-surpassed-their-goals-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=244252","title":{"rendered":"JRMC Foundation Surpassed Their Goals This Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jamestown, ND, <\/strong><strong>February 11, 2022<\/strong> \u2014 With the support of 393 people, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation raised $129,700 in one day, surpassing the goal of $125,000.<\/p>\n<p>Giving Hearts Day is an annual 24-hour fundraising event. Since 2008, supporters have raised more than $112 million for 550 nonprofits in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Since 2015, generous Giving Hearts Day donors have now raised close to $500,000 for JRMC. Every dollar benefits patient care.<\/p>\n<p>This year, proceeds will fund new equipment in surgery, cancer center and radiology. It also helps patient care programs, including hospice, infant loss, Kala&#8217;s Korner, Driven to Care and No Excuses.<\/p>\n<p>After two challenging years, the support is extra special, said JRMC President &amp; CEO Mike Delfs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve experienced the emotional and sometimes physical trauma of uncertainty and loss throughout the pandemic,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We&#8217;ve had to depend on each other and the care at JRMC. With your support, care has remained constant in quality, outcomes and healing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Otter Tail Power Company Foundation supported the Foundation\u2019s goal with a $5,000 power hour triple match. &#8220;Their superpower inspired others and raised more than $12,000 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.,&#8221; said JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Otter Tail Power Company and JRMC share a commitment to the communities we serve. It&#8217;s a privilege for us to partner with JRMC in this way,&#8221; said Rebecca Michael, Otter Tail Power Company communications manager<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every single gift is meaningful to us big and small. We cherish the tributes to staff, patients and loved ones,&#8221; Jackson said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were excited to help,&#8221; said Jordan Padilla, owner of Anytime Fitness. &#8220;You all are amazing over at JRMC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Padilla and his staff helped care for and share in the rehabilitation of Josh Brown who crashed a 4-wheeler two years ago. The accident left Brown unable to walk or talk until receiving care at JRMC.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thank you for being generous and choosing JRMC,&#8221; Jackson said. &#8220;Our mission to be THE difference in the lives of those we serve is our passion. You help make a lasting impression on our staff and patients.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, JRMC delivered 331 babies, replaced 225 joints, healed 486 wounds and offered 1,471 chemotherapy infusions. JRMC also received awards as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital and Best Place to Work. These milestones are possible because of support.<\/p>\n<p>JRMC was one of 16 Jamestown nonprofits participating in Giving Hearts Day locally.
