Valley City\u00a0 (Chamber, 4-4-22)\u00a0 With all the nasty \u201cstuff\u201d happening in the world, I pray you and yours are well today.\u00a0Please say a little prayer for those people affected by storms, wars and illnesses.\u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n

There are more of us out walking now that the weather is nicer, how about carrying a grocery bag and picking up trash as we go?\u00a0Drivers, you can help by keeping cigarette butts, food, & drink containers in your vehicle until you can dispose them properly.\u00a0Maybe a little garbage box or bag in your vehicle? \u00a0*Let\u2019s all give our beautiful city a \u201cspring cleaning\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last Friday Brandy & I had the privilege of a short visit with Mrs. Altringer\u2019s 1st<\/sup>\u00a0Grade Class.\u00a0Thank you all for your hospitality, we enjoyed our time with you.<\/p>\n

Recently I had the pleasure of re-connecting with some people I hadn\u2019t seen or visited for a long time; some were 40-plus years.\u00a0Whether relationships have evolved through school, jobs, coaching, officiating, etc., they are to be cherished.\u00a0When someone from your past comes to mind and you are both alive, contact her or him. \u00a0It could \u201cmake your day\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last week some city employees and I attended a North Dakota League of Cities Conference in Mandan.\u00a0Some topics included; North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF), State Auditor\u2019s Department, Bank of North Dakota, Budgets, Cyber Security and more.\u00a0Presenters were well polished so the conference was educational for all.\u00a0Avis Richter and Brenda Klein were noted by NDLC for earning leadership-training hours.\u00a0Congratulations and thank you Avis and Brenda.<\/p>\n
