{"id":246080,"date":"2022-04-05T09:23:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T14:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=246080"},"modified":"2022-04-07T11:19:36","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T16:19:36","slug":"se-district-judgeship-number-two-to-stay-in-valley-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=246080","title":{"rendered":"SE District Judgeship Number Two To Stay In Valley City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The SE \u00a0Judicial Dist Judgeship Number 2 will remain in Valley City.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 North Dakota State Supreme Court states \u201cThe elimination or transfer of Judgeship No. 2 would present challenges to scheduling and require the remaining judges in the Southeast Judicial District to assume an increased caseload and increase travel time in the district.\u00a0 Although the growing population and caseload in the East Central Judicial District demonstrates a clear need for additional judicial officers, moving this judgeship would create a shortage and make it difficult to provide effective judicial services to residents in that district.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Southeast Judicial District includes fourteen counties:\u00a0 Barnes, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Stutsman, and Wells.<\/p>\n<p>The district has seven judges: One judge chambered in Ellendale, one in New Rockford, one in Wahpeton, two in Jamestown, and two in Valley City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The SE \u00a0Judicial Dist Judgeship Number 2 will remain in Valley City.
