{"id":249662,"date":"2022-06-16T15:00:22","date_gmt":"2022-06-16T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=249662"},"modified":"2022-06-16T16:07:46","modified_gmt":"2022-06-16T21:07:46","slug":"jamestown-airport-is-awarded-21450-for-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=249662","title":{"rendered":"Airport Awarded\u00a0$21,450 for Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 16<sup>th<\/sup>, the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission met and finalized approximately $8.5 million in state infrastructure grant allocations to multiple public airports throughout North Dakota.\u00a0 The awards which show 165 individual projects have received grant awards from 68 different public-use airports throughout the state.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Jamestown Airport is being awarded\u00a0$21,450.00, for\u00a0Crack Sealing, Design of RWY 13\/31 &amp; Electrical Rehabilitation.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>$5 million of the grant allocations are provided through funding that was made available through the Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).\u00a0 The state legislature allocated the funds to the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission during the 2021 special legislative session to assist with the costs of maintaining and updating the state\u2019s airport infrastructure. The remainder of the grant allocations are made possible from the Aeronautics Commission\u2019s Special Fund where the primary revenue source is derived from state tax collections on aviation fuel and aircraft sales.
