News)\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 Valley City, City Administrator, David Schelkoph reported, at Monday&#8217;s City Commission meeting\u00a0on the events surrounding the failure of the Master Sewer Lift Station, that occurred on August 16, 2012<\/p>\n<p>He said the good news of the problem was that no one was injured in the process of containing the sewage when the plug failed during routine maintenance last Thursday.He said the quick response of city crews in installing pumps, saved the city and it\u2019s citizens dollars and \u201cheartaches,\u201d with what could have happened with damages.<\/p>\n<p>Four pumps are now working and two additional pumps will be going back on line this week.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out the State Health Department was notified and kept up to date on the pumping of the raw sewage into the Sheyenne River, which was stopped last Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>A final report will be issued to the city and State Health Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City, ND\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V.
