Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n OMAHA, Neb. (UJ<\/a>) — <\/strong>The University of Jamestown women’s basketball team opened the GPAC portion of its schedule with a 67-46 win over College of Saint Mary Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hannah DeMars<\/a> (SR\/Grand Rapids, MN) had 19 points and eight rebounds while Kia Tower<\/a> (SR\/Bigfork, MN) added 16 points and four assists as the Jimmies improved to 3-1 overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tower and DeMars each had seven first-quarter points in helping UJ get out to a 26-9 lead after the first ten minutes. Jamestown shot 56 percent overall and 63 percent from three-point range, using a 26-5 run to open up a 20-point edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CSM cut into the Jimmie lead in the second quarter, outscoring UJ 15-11 and outshooting them 50 percent to 25 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the break, DeMars and Tower combined for 14 of Jamestown’s 20 third-quarter points. The Flames got as close as 39-33 with 6:19 in the third, but a DeMars basket started a 15-0 run over the next 4:19 to build a 21-point advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both teams scored only 10 points in the fourth quarter and the Jimmies hit on only two of 13 shots in the period. UJ was aided by a perfect 5-of-5 effort at the foul line to make up for their cold shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kate Busek<\/a> (SO\/Fargo, ND) was also in double figures for Jamestown, finishing with 10 points. Jailyn Martinson<\/a> (SO\/Devils Lake, ND) and Sarah Lenz<\/a> (SO\/Belle Plaine, MN) each scored six while Audrey Rodakowski<\/a> (JR\/Dickinson, ND) and Megan Oswald<\/a> (SO\/Brownsdale, MN) both had five points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CSM was led by Allison Schubert’s 15 points. Bailey White added 12 and Morgann Worden came off the bench to score seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown returns home to host Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.)
