Agencies Involved: North Dakota highway Patrol, Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Department, Barnes
County Ambulance, and Valley City Fire Department.
Vehicle No. 1: 2003 Ford Ranger
Driver No. 1: Joel Gustafson, 65-year-old male, Bismarck, ND, non-life-threatening injuries
Restraints: Seatbelt in use
Charges: Under investigation
NARRATIVE: A Ford Ranger was traveling westbound on Interstate 94. Gustafson lost
control and overcorrected entering the north ditch. The Ford Ranger then overturned and
came to rest in the north ditch on it\u2019s wheels. Gustafson was transported by Barnes County
Ambulance to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City to be treated for injuries sustained in the
crash. The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
