{"id":268696,"date":"2023-01-26T10:09:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-26T16:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=268696"},"modified":"2023-01-26T10:35:25","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T16:35:25","slug":"hi-liners-announce-2-head-coaches-hired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=268696","title":{"rendered":"Hi-Liners Announce 2 Head Coaches, Hired"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hi-Liners Athletics announce that Travis Engen has been hired as the new Hi-Liner head football coach, filling the position after the resignation of Scott Roehrich.\u00a0 Engen is a health and physical education teacher at Valley City High School, and has 18 years coaching experience.\u00a0 He was recently added to the Hi-Liner coaching staff, and was considered by some to be the \u201cheir apparent\u201d for Roehrich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the hiring committee wrote, \u201cTravis stood out among in the interview process for the pieces that are not really on paper. Who he is as a person and the inspired leadership that he brings to the team. He will develop our kids on and off the field, and he\u2019ll foster a culture that promotes character and integrity while being tough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark Mattson has been hired as the head softball coach for the Hi-Liners.&nbsp; Mattson is a behavioral specialist at Jefferson Elementary School.&nbsp; He has 23 years of collegiate coaching experience, and two at the high school level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee said of Mattson, \u201cMark brings years of experience and an established track record of improvement.
