{"id":269630,"date":"2023-03-01T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=269630"},"modified":"2023-03-04T18:54:27","modified_gmt":"2023-03-05T00:54:27","slug":"portions-of-i94-us-52-us-281-closed-due-to-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=269630","title":{"rendered":"Sections of Interstates &#038; State Highways Are Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. \u2013 The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and North Dakota Highway Patrol announce a tentative schedule to open highways the afternoon of March 1.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As road conditions continue to improve the follow highways are expected to reopen at the times listed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2 p.m.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Jamestown<\/li><li>Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border<\/li><li>North Dakota Highway 13 from Interstate 29 to Wahpeton<\/li><li>U.S. Highway 52 from Harvey to Jamestown<\/li><li>U.S. Highway 281 from Jamestown to the South Dakota border<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4 p.m.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Interstate 94 from Jamestown to Fargo<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind this schedule may change. Please note that just because the road is open does not necessarily mean the roadway is clear. Motorists should slow down, allow plenty of time and drive for conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on road conditions across North Dakota, call 511 or visit the ND Roads map at\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/travel.dot.nd.gov\/\"><strong>travel.dot.nd.gov<\/strong><\/a>.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please be advised that road condition information on 511 and the travel map is updated daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. CT. The road report is based upon the information available to the NDDOT at the time of preparation and is provided solely as a public service. Conditions may vary from those reported.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier&#8230;..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. \u2013 The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT)\u202fand\u202fNorth Dakota Highway Patrol closed Interstate&nbsp;29&nbsp;from&nbsp;Fargo&nbsp;to&nbsp;Grand Forks due to&nbsp;snow drifts,&nbsp;icy road conditions and near-zero visibility.\u202f\u202f 03\/01\/2023 06:00 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists are not allowed to travel on a closed road due to life-threatening conditions.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following road closures remain in place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Fargo&nbsp;<\/li><li>Interstate 29 from Fargo to the South Dakota border<\/li><li>U.S. Highway 52 from Harvey to Jamestown<\/li><li>U.S. Highway 281 from Jamestown to the South Dakota border<\/li><li>North Dakota Highway 13 from Interstate 29 to Wahpeton<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists should be warned that secondary roads across North Dakota could become blocked or impassable due to the significant snowfall and high winds creating severe snow drifts on the highways. Snow drifts are more prevalent at structures and sheltered areas.
