Hoeven has been working with Treasury officials, including Assistant Secretary Jonathan Davidson, to move the application forward and provide certainty for the state\u2019s CTE Center projects. In particular, the senator has been working to advance the state\u2019s application to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Help address the state\u2019s workforce challenges.<\/li><li>Provide the opportunity for students to receive cost-effective education and training and pursue valuable, in-demand careers without taking on significant debt.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSecuring this award for North Dakota\u2019s CTE Centers is an important win for the state. Today\u2019s announcement means the short-term loan from the state can be promptly repaid and will enable construction to move forward,\u201d said Hoeven. \u201cWe\u2019ve been working with Treasury to advance this process and provide much-needed certainty for the development of these CTE Centers, which will help our state better meet its workforce needs while giving students\u2019 more options to pursue cost-effective education and build a successful career.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, the award supports the construction of 13 CTE Centers in North Dakota, including the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>James Valley Area Career and Technology Center in Jamestown.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center in Valley City.<\/strong><\/li><li>Cass County Career &amp; Technical Education Center in Fargo.<\/li><li>Southwest Area Career and Technical Education Academy in Dickinson.<\/li><li>Bakken Area Skills Center in Watford City.<\/li><li>Minot Area Workforce Academy.<\/li><li>Career Impact Academy in Grand Forks.<\/li><li>North Valley Area Career &amp; Technology Center in Grafton.<\/li><li>Williston Basin Career and Technical Education Center.<\/li><li>Heart River Career and Technical Education Center in Mandan.<\/li><li>Southeast Region Career and Technology Center in Wahpeton.<\/li><li>Lake Area Career and Technology Center in Devils Lake.<\/li><li>Expanded facility for the Bismarck Public Schools CTE Program.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON \u2013 Senator John Hoeven today announced that he has secured approval of North Dakota\u2019s application for more than $68 million in funding for Career and Technical Education (CTE) Centers from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
