{"id":273460,"date":"2023-06-29T09:03:15","date_gmt":"2023-06-29T14:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=273460"},"modified":"2023-06-30T14:00:35","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T19:00:35","slug":"news-and-notes-by-mayor-carlsrud-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=273460","title":{"rendered":"News and Notes by Mayor Carlsrud"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Valley City ND &#8211; Hello Everyone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Good news about garbage cans &amp; racks.&nbsp; You can call 845-1700 to have your garbage can and\/or racks picked up by the City at no charge or you can bring them out to the Transfer Station at no charge.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Please \u201chang with me a bit\u201d on this one.&nbsp; We haul our garbage and pay for putting it in Fargo\u2019s landfill.&nbsp; The tough part of that is the landfill is filling rapidly and when full, we will be further challenged.&nbsp; Recycling everything eligible is the best, but if we would all just recycle our cardboard, it would reduce our tonnage&nbsp; hauled to the landfill considerably.&nbsp; Please give cardboard recycling a try; thank you.<\/li><li>Kudos to all the folks who provide great services at the Barnes County Municipal Airport.&nbsp; They recently received a grant for snow removal equipment to keep runways open and safe.&nbsp; With the new fuel system installed, both Jet A and 100LL fuels are available.&nbsp; Hangar space has been increased as well keeping planes clean and out of the elements.
