The pilot, Michael Carrigee, failed to gain enough take off speed to create enough lift for a safe take off. The plane struck a barbwire fence and traveled down a ravine prior to coming to rest in a pasture field. Carrigee did not sustain any injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Earlier<\/strong>&#8230;.A plane went down Thursday morning, Aug 3, 2023, west of Jamestown, near the Jamestown Hwy 281\/52 Bypass.  The plane sits in a field at mm 916 . No injuries were reported.  Two units of the North Dakota Highway Patrol were on scene.  CSi Photos.
