Jamestown ND – The Jimmie men’s soccer team comes in at number eight in the GPAC Preseason Coaches Poll, released Thursday by the conference office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UJ received 45 points, two more than ninth-place Waldorf (Iowa) and seven more than No. 10 Mount Marty (S.D.) \\<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hastings (Neb.) earned eight of 12 first-place votes to claim the top spot, followed by Concordia (Neb.) with 110 points and three first-place votes. Midland (Neb.) had one first place vote and 100 points to round out the top three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2023 GPAC men’s soccer season will consist of 11 league games as all 12 teams will compete for the conference title. Waldorf (Iowa) joins the GPAC as an affiliate member in both men’s and women’s soccer in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jamestown begins its season August 19 at SD Mines, with the home opener set for August 25 against Oak Hills Christian College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
