{"id":274878,"date":"2023-08-18T08:24:15","date_gmt":"2023-08-18T13:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=274878"},"modified":"2023-08-18T11:29:28","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T16:29:28","slug":"vehicle-pursuit-involving-wanted-male-subject","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=274878","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle Pursuit Involving Wanted Male Subject"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(Jamestown, ND) On August 17, 2023, at approximately (2:30pm) 1430 hrs., Jamestown Police received a report of a male subject near a business in northeast Jamestown, who was wanted on an order to apprehend warrant out of Stutsman County.&nbsp; JPD officers responded to the area, as we had received earlier reports of the same male near that area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Jamestown Police Officer located the male near an alley in the 800 block of 13 St NE.&nbsp; The subject immediately ran from an officer on foot.&nbsp; The subject jumped into a vehicle and hid briefly.&nbsp; Seconds later, the officer located the vehicle containing the wanted subject leaving the area and was being driven by a female.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the 2008 Toyota 4-runner refused to stop.&nbsp; The female driver made several erratic driving movements to flee from and elude officers for several blocks.&nbsp; The vehicle was being driven by a family member of the wanted subject.&nbsp; After several blocks, the vehicle pulled into a parking lot near the 1100 block of 7 St NE.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wanted male subject got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.&nbsp; Other responding officers took him into custody, after a short foot pursuit, near the 1000 block of 7 St NE.&nbsp; The vehicle tried to flee from officers a second time, at that location.&nbsp; Eventually, the vehicle was stopped leaving the parking lot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver of the fleeing vehicle has been identified as 74-year-old Wanda Mae Guttormson of Jamestown.&nbsp; She has been arrested on suspicion of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OdegardEric.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OdegardEric.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-274879\" width=\"206\" height=\"136\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OdegardEric.jpg 455w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OdegardEric-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OdegardEric-265x175.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 206px) 100vw, 206px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The wanted male subject was identified as 29-year-old Eric Lee Odegard of Jamestown.&nbsp; Odegard has been arrested on suspicion of Failure to Halt, Order to Apprehend Warrant and Possession of Marijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Odegard and Guttormson were transported to Stutsman County Corrections, to await formal charges.&nbsp; The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.&nbsp; The incident remains under investigation and more charges are possible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to especially thank the public for assisting our officers in recovering evidence of a crime during this incident.&nbsp;
