Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept 16, 2013) – With the Jamestown sanitary sewer project, Interstate Engineering reports Starting today, Tuesday Sept 17, 2013<\/p>\n
2nd St SW is now closed from 4th Ave SW to the river<\/strong>. Drivers need to use detour to 1st St West bridge to access the Klaus Park area of SW Jamestown.<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n A section of 2nd St SW that crosses the James River is closed. The bridge over the James River is closed as well during this time.<\/p>\n Work is expected to last for about two weeks. Drivers can continue to access CSi Technology Center at Historic Franklin by using the east entrance from 3rd Ave SW.<\/p>\n 3rd Street SE will close from 9th Avenue SE to Railroad Drive E. A detour will be in place on Railroad Drive E and 7th Avenue NE.<\/p>\n 12th Avenue SE will also close later Tuesday from 3rd Street SE to 5th Street SE.<\/p>\n At this time, these closures are anticipated to be in place until later this week.<\/p>\n Drivers are also advised that starting this week, crews are working in the area of 17th St SE and 19th Ave SE. The intersection will remain open during this time. Work is expected to last for about one week.<\/p>\n 3rd Street SE, from 9th Avenue SE to 12th Avenue SE, is open to traffic. Temporary surfacing is in place. News) — The Jamestown Public School Board Tuesday (Sept 17, 2013) voted in favor of Jamestown Public Schools providing Talented and Gifted Program services to St. John\u2019s Academy.<\/p>\n In the 7-2 vote, board members Roy Musland and Gail Martin opposed the partnership.<\/p>\n The one-year pilot program,has Jamestown Public Schools providing TAG to St. John\u2019s for the remainder of this school year at no cost.<\/p>\n Providing TAG to St. John’s will not bring extra costs to JPS.<\/p>\n Jamestown Public Schools Superintendent, Robert Lech said, if the pilot program is successful there would be a discussion of shared cost for the program.<\/p>\n It was reported that the school district is reducing the mill rate by 50 mills, reducing the rate from 155.4 mills to about 105 mills.<\/p>\n For the 2013 tax year, a $100,000 home in Jamestown would have paid about $1,937.<\/p>\n The 2014 tax statements for a $100,000 home, commonly mailed out in December, would show a total property tax of about $1,500. His defense claims the children’s father confessed to the killings.<\/p>\n FBI examiner Chastity Davis testified Tuesday that the girl’s DNA likely got underneath Bagola’s fingernails through scratching.
