Jamestown (CSi) On December 2, 2023, at approximately 12:48am, officers of the Jamestown Police Department were dispatched to an address in the 300 block of 5th Ave NE on a reported shooting. On arrival, officers located one 16 year old male deceased in a second-floor apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers spoke with two males who were present at the time of the shooting, who stated the victim somehow shot himself. Those males were detained for questioning and later released as officers processed the scene. At this time there is no reason to believe foul play was involved, but the incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office and North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The obituary for Wyatt Mullins<\/a> has been posted online at Eddy Funeral Home, stating: ” Wyatt James Mullins, 16, of Jamestown, North Dakota, passed away suddenly on December 2, 2023, as a result of an accidental gunshot wound in Jamestown.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamestown N.D. (KFGO) \u2013 Jamestown Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Saturday, December 2.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Police Department, officers were called to an apartment in the 300 block of 5th Avenue NE at 12:48 a.m. where they found a man dead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two men who were at the apartment at the time of the shooting told officers the man somehow shot himself. Officers detained the men and released them after questioning.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The department said there is no reason to believe foul play was involved, but the shooting is under investigation. The man\u2019s name will not be released until family is notified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
