{"id":279035,"date":"2024-01-08T08:54:04","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T14:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=279035"},"modified":"2024-01-08T08:54:04","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T14:54:04","slug":"und-explodes-in-6-2-victory-for-no-4-nodak-over-alaska","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=279035","title":{"rendered":"UND explodes in 6-2 victory for No. 4 NoDak over Alaska"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>GRAND FORKS, N.D. \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0For the second straight night, No. 4 North Dakota potted six goals to notch a weekend sweep over Alaska with a 6-2 victory on Saturday night from a sold-out Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.<br>\u00a0<br>UND&#8217;s (14-5-1) new-look top line of\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/riese-gaber\/11642\">Riese Gaber<\/a><\/dfn>,\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/hunter-johannes\/11656\">Hunter Johannes<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0and\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/cameron-berg\/11653\">Cameron Berg<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0were dominant all night in the victory, combining for four goals and two assists to help the Fighting Hawks polish off their first sweep over Alaska (10-9-1) since 1991 and extend their regulation unbeaten streak to 13 straight games.<br>\u00a0<br>Gaber struck for a goal and added two assists for his second straight game with three points while Johannes potted a pair of tallies for the second time this season and in his career to pace the offensive attack.\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/owen-mclaughlin\/11647\">Owen McLaughlin<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0made it back-to-back games with multiple points with a goal and a helper, as nine-different Hawks notched at least a point.<br>\u00a0<br>Freshman goaltender\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/hobie-hedquist\/11655\">Hobie Hedquist<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0made his second straight start between the pipes for the hosts, finishing with 17 saves on 19 shots to improve to 2-0-0 as a starter.
