(KFYR) &#8211; North Dakota\u2019s Industrial Commission awarded a $125 million loan for the development of a fertilizer plant near Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally, the commission approved $50 million for the project, with $75 million to go to the Prairie Horizon Hydrogen facility in Stark County, but they declined the offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prairie Horizon is a joint project between Marathon Petroleum and TC Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed spot for the NextEra Energy facility is near the Spiritwood Energy Park and would create 100,000 tons of ammonia a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funding comes from a state House funding bill, designed to support projects that manufacture fertilizer through hydrogen electrolysis.
