The Jimmies won by scores of 7-1 and 12-4.<br><br><strong>THE BASICS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>SCORES<\/strong>: Jamestown 7, Dordt 1; Jamestown 12, Dordt 4<\/li><li><strong>LOCATION<\/strong>: Open Space Park \/ Sioux Center, Iowa<\/li><li><strong>RECORDS<\/strong>: Jamestown 18-4 (4-0 GPAC); Dordt 6-19 (0-4 GPAC)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A two-run error accounted for Jamestown&#8217;s first runs in the second inning. With the bases loaded and one out,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/bonneville_jackson_5nwq\">Jackson Bonneville<\/a>&nbsp;hit a ground ball to shortstop, but the throw was wild, with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/nelson_jett_broq\">Jett Nelson<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/brown_hayden_o1z1\">Hayden Brown<\/a>&nbsp;coming in to score.<\/li><li>The Jimmies tacked on three more runs an inning later. Brown singled to left, bringing in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/burke_chase_w6pv\">Chase Burke<\/a>, then Nelson followed with a double to center, scoring&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/singleton_jordan_6pgy\">Jordan Singleton<\/a>&nbsp;and moving Brown to third. One out later, a wild pitch allowed Brown to cross the plate, making it 5-0.<\/li><li>Dordt got on the board with a single run in the bottom of the fourth, and the score remained 5-1 until the top of the seventh. Singleton extended his RBI streak to four games with a single to score Burke, then pinch-runner&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/steele_sy_n5y2\">Sy Steele<\/a>&nbsp;later scored on a groundout by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/muizelaar_ryan_46wb\">Ryan Muizelaar<\/a>.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/liestman_avery_um8q\">Avery Liestman<\/a>&nbsp;pitched 5 2\/3 innings and improved to 3-0 this season. He struck out three and walked three while giving up one run on four hits.<\/li><li>Burke and Brown both had two hits while&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/madison_triston_0g5a\">Triston Madison<\/a>&nbsp;was credited with a pair of sacrifice bunts.<strong><br><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A six-run fourth inning gave Jamestown an 8-2 lead and they went on for a 12-4 win in game two.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/bonneville_jackson_5nwq\">Jackson Bonneville<\/a>&nbsp;drove in two runs with a single in the top of the second, but the Defenders would tie the game in the bottom of the third.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/singleton_jordan_6pgy\">Jordan Singleton<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/brown_hayden_o1z1\">Hayden Brown<\/a>&nbsp;each singled to start the fourth, then&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/nelson_jett_broq\">Jett Nelson<\/a>&nbsp;walked to load the bases.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/muizelaar_ryan_46wb\">Ryan Muizelaar<\/a>&nbsp;then singled to break the tie and keep the bases full.<\/li><li>One out later,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/roebuck_isaiah_c1v1\">Isaiah Roebuck<\/a>&nbsp;extended UJ&#8217;s lead with a single to center to make it 4-2.<\/li><li>Following a Defender pitching change,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/alva_alex_2y5d\">Alex Alva<\/a>&nbsp;singled to right field, scoring Nelson and Muizelaar. An error by the right fielder enabled Roebuck to come home and Alva to move up to third base.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/burke_chase_w6pv\">Chase Burke<\/a>&#8216;s sacrifice fly drove in Alva and the UJ lead increased to 8-2.<\/li><li>A Defender error in the top of the sixth led to another Jimmie run, making it 9-2.<\/li><li>Dordt scored once in the bottom of the sixth, but Jamestown came back with two more in the seventh. Alva&#8217;s double scored Bonneville and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/sansores_julian_9g67\">Julian Sansores<\/a>&nbsp;as the Jimmies had their biggest lead of the game to that point.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/woods_robert_m4jj\">RJ Woods<\/a>&nbsp;drove in the final run for UJ with a pinch-hit single in the top of the ninth.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/bsb\/2023-24\/bios\/howard_jack_siuk\">Jack Howard<\/a>&nbsp;(3-1) pitched six innings for the win, striking out five and allowing just one earned run on seven hits.<\/li><li>Alva finished with four hits, including a pair of doubles, four RBI, and two runs scored.
