FLM – Williams Racing announced a multi-year contract extension with Alex Albon on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The London-born Thai driver has been with the Formula One team since the start of the 2022 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The extension keeps Albon, 28, with Williams into F1\u2019s new regulation era that begins in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am incredibly happy to be remaining with Williams Racing and to continue working with such a talented and dedicated team of people,\u201d Albon said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Albon is still looking for his first top-10 finish this season and is coming off an 18th-place showing at Miami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt has been a difficult start to the year but since joining Williams we have made significant progress together and I have seen the huge changes happening behind the scenes to take us back to the front of the grid,\u201d Albon said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a long-term project that I really believe in and want to play a key role in which is why I have signed a multi-year contract. The journey will take time but I am confident we are building the right team to move forward and achieve great things in the years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
