University of Jamestown head football coach\u00a0Brian Mistro<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0has announced the hiring of\u00a0Shane Kelly<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0as the Jimmies’ offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very excited to welcome Coach Kelly to the Jimmie family,” said Mistro. “His passion for the game and people is what struck me as a perfect fit for our staff. His knowledge and football acumen is second to none, and he recruits with a fire and passion that we want in our program.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kelly comes to Jamestown after spending the past four seasons at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he served as co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. At Coe, Kelly helped coach five all-conference offensive lineman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am excited to be a part of the University of Jamestown and the Jimmie football team,” Kelly said. “I am very thankful for my time at Coe College, where I have been fortunate to work alongside some wonderful coaches and having the opportunity to coach some great players. My wife and I are very excited to start this next chapter of our lives.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Coe, Kelly was the offensive quality control\/assistant offensive line coach at Eastern Illinois for one season. He began coaching at the high school level in 2015 before joining the staff at Eastern Illinois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kelly played at Eastern Illinois from 2008-2012, beginning as a defensive end for his first two seasons before moving to offensive line. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
