Semptimphelter<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;finished with 37 saves on 42 shots against to drop to 10-7-1 on the season.<br><br>After a strong start by the hosts for the second straight night, Western Michigan opened the scoring just over halfway through the first before extending the lead to 2-0 with a power play goal late in the stanza heading into the first intermission.<br><br>The Broncos increased the lead to 3-0 in the early portions of the second, but UND started to chip away in the middle portions of the frame when Berg snapped home a shot for his sixth of the year to cut the lead to 3-1. The Hawks had a chance to trim further into the deficit with a couple of good chances but couldn&#8217;t solve the WMU goaltender while the Broncos added a fourth goal in the final seconds of the second to take a 4-1 lead after two.<br><br>WMU added a fifth in the third period to close out the 5-1 victory and the sweep.<br><br>North Dakota will have an off weekend before hitting the road for a series with St. Cloud State beginning on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m.<br><br><strong>Postgame Notes&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>UND drops to 30-14-1 all-time against Western Michigan and 14-8-0 at home<\/li><li>The Hawks were swept at home in conference play for the second time this season<\/li><li>WMU went 2-for-3 on the power play while UND was 0-for-2<\/li><li>The 42 shots by WMU were a season high allowed by NoDak<\/li><li>NoDak dropped to fourth in the NCHC standings with 20 points<\/li><li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/cameron-berg\/12318\">Cameron Berg<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;scored his sixth goal of the season<\/li><li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/fightinghawks.com\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/t-j-semptimphelter\/12358\">T.J.
